LEICESTER VS BRIGHTON MATCH ANALYSIS
The Foxes are third in the Premier League after Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Wolves, but they will also look to book a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals when they host Brighton in Round 5 on Wednesday night. Rodgers’ side also travel to Slavia Prague in the last 32 of the Europa League in 10 days, which is all evidence of how well the Foxes are doing this season. The Seagulls, on the other hand, are now unbeaten in their last five top-flight matches - winning three and drawing two, with four clean sheets to boot. Their survival bid is gathering pace, and their results are starting to reflect the nature of their performances as they sit 10 points clear of the drop zone in 15th.
Leicester were on a ten-game streak without a defeat in all competitions (W6, D4) prior to their 1-3 defeat against Leeds at home on January 31. However, they have bounced back with a 2-0 win against relegation-threatened Fulham, and with a point at Wolves (0-0), have leapfrogged Liverpool into 3rd after the weekend, but are still huge 7 points from the top.
The Foxes booked an FA Cup fifth round date with Brighton thanks to a 3-1 victory at Championship’s most in-form side, Brentford. The Foxes trailed at the break but took control in the second half with goals from Cengiz Under, Youri Tielemans, and James Maddison. Two trips to Championship sides in Stoke and London saw Leicester score seven goals and concede just one in a pair of routine victories, and they remain on course to better last season's finish in the FA Cup, where Chelsea dumped them out in the quarter-finals.
The last time out these two sides met the Foxes secured a resounding 3-0 win in the Premier League back in December. But Albion's fortunes have improved a great deal since then ahead of the upcoming FA Cup fifth-round clash. The Seagulls have lost just once in 2021, a 1-0 defeat to high-flying Manchester City, and have secured wins over Leeds United, Spurs, and Liverpool, among others. But Brendan Rodgers' side, who sit third in the Premier League, are another tough opponent for Potter's men.
Brighton will be without defender Adam Webster, who has been in superb form as Graham Potter's side secured three straight clean sheets in the Premier League. The 26-year-old rolled his ankle in the 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday and had to be helped from the field with 15 minutes to go. Brighton are expected to make a few changes for Wednesday night's FA Cup clash with Steven Alzate possibly returning to the starting XI, while Polish duo Jakub Moder and Michal Karbownik could be given their Brighton debuts.

Leicester are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Brighton in all competitions (W5 D2), have already beaten the Seagulls 3-0 at home in the PL this season, and have a better overall record with 9 wins to Brighton’s 5 in their last 20 meetings.
Their only previous FA Cup game was all the way back in 1931, which ended in Brighton’s favour. Fast forward and Leicester are looking to reach the FA Cup quarter-final in consecutive seasons for the first time in more than 50 years, while Brighton are trying to reach the FA Cup quarter-final for the third time in four previous seasons as a Premier League side.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
