LEICESTER VS EVERTON MATCH ANALYSIS
The Foxes were on a six-game winning run in all competitions and top of the Premier League before suffering back-to-back defeats against Liverpool (3-0) at Anfield and, more surprisingly, against Fulham at home (1-2). Those two defeats pushed Leicester down the standings to 4th, but they climbed back to 3rd with 24 points after back-to-back wins against Sheffield Utd (1-2) in the previous round and Brighton (3-0) on Sunday. As for Everton, their unbeaten five-game run came to an end (W4-D1) at Southampton (2-0) in Round 6 and they followed it with four more defeats in the next six games (W1, D1). Their only win in this period was a tough away win in London against Fulham (2-3), but they have now registered probably their biggest win of the campaign so far against Chelsea on Saturday (1-0) to move to 7th with 20 points.
Leicester were on a hot six-game winning streak in all competitions, before going on without a win in their next four games (D1-L3). Brendan Rodgers' side could have gone top of the Premier League with a victory at Anfield in Round 9, which is a testimony to their fine start to the season. Instead, they followed the Anfield defeat with a shocking loss to Fulham at the King Power Stadium. However, after two straight wins against the Blades and Brighton they could go top again if the results go their way.
As for their latest win on Sunday, three first-half goals send the Foxes third. James Maddison scored twice for the first time in the top-flight and Vardy added the third as Leicester produced an energetic first-half performance to beat the Seagulls. On this evidence, they are in good shape to convert their good start ahead of a tough Christmas schedule with Everton, Tottenham, and Manchester United in the next 13 days.
The Toffees, on the other hand, have fallen down the table after topping the league for a couple of weeks early in the season. They have also shipped two or more goals in six of their last ten Premier League fixtures. In the Chelsea match, they have kept only their second clean sheet since the season opener against the Spurs (0-1), which is untypical of Ancelotti’s sides.
On Saturday, the Toffees defeated Chelsea thanks to Sigurdsson’s goal from the penalty spot to regain a much-needed confidence and end Chelsea's 17-game unbeaten run. Everton's problem in recent games has been their defending, which has not been helped by injuries to captain Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne. Against Chelsea, their back four was comprised solely of centre-backs, which secured an important, hard-fought win in front of the 2000 fans for the first time since March.

Leicester have won three of their last five home league games against Everton (L2), while Everton have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 Premier League games against Leicester.
After 13 of the first 18 Premier League games between Leicester and Everton had ended in a draw, none of the last 10 meetings between the sides in the competition have finished level (5 wins each).
Leicester are one of the teams who could top the table after the midweek fixtures but will be wary of Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, who regained much-needed confidence by an excellent win over Chelsea.
BettingKick’s prediction for the Leicester vs Everton match is: Under 2.5 goals
