LEICESTER VS LIVERPOOL MATCH ANALYSIS
The Foxes are third in the Premier League after Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Wolves, but they will also look to book a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals when they host Brighton in Round 5 on Wednesday night. Rodgers’ side also travel to Slavia Prague in the last 32 of the Europa League in 10 days, which is all evidence of how well the Foxes are doing this season. As for the defending champions, Liverpool, after they had left their dry spell (D3, L2) behind them with two 3-1 away wins on the trot – against Tottenham and West Ham, the Reds suffered two consecutive defeats at Anfield - a shocking 1-0 loss to Brighton and a 4-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Man City. Their title defending hopes are now shattered and with the Leipzig match looming in the Champions League, they could be left to fight only for the PL top-four if they don’t stop the rot.
Leicester were on a ten-game streak without a defeat in all competitions (W6, D4) prior to their 1-3 defeat against Leeds at home on January 31. However, they have bounced back with a 2-0 win against relegation-threatened Fulham, and with a point at Wolves (0-0), have leapfrogged Liverpool into 3rd after the weekend, but are still huge 7 points from the top. The Foxes have clearly shown their champions' credentials and it is their form on the road which has propelled them into title contention this season - they have only tasted victory in four of their last ten top-flight home matches.
Leicester’s outside hopes of winning the Premier League title suffered a blow after being held to a goalless draw at Midlands rivals Wolves last weekend. Brendan Rodgers' side lie in third place, seven points adrift of league leaders Man City. The Foxes have an excellent away record this season but were flat for large periods of the contest and failed to fully test Rui Patricio. A lacklustre showing in front of goal means they failed to score away from home for just the second time this campaign.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have been in a poor run of form since the start of the year and have scored only a single goal in the Premier League in four matches, prior to the match with Spurs. It must be noted that the defending Champions have rarely looked so vulnerable in recent years. The Reds, however, remain in the top-four after two wins on the road against the two top-six teams, but the third Anfield defeat in three weeks has left them with almost no chance of catching up with Man City.
Liverpool have climbed mountains under Klopp before but they now stand 10 points behind a team that has reeled off 14 successive wins in all competitions. They have also played one game more than City. Liverpool, in their current condition, are trailing badly in Manchester City's wake and Klopp may now have to adjust his sights to the more realistic league target of making sure Liverpool finish in the top four.

Leicester have lost their last three home Premier League games against Liverpool, their worst ever losing run in the league against the Reds, while Liverpool have won 12 of their last 17 Premier League matches against Leicester (D3 L2), winning six of their last seven against the Foxes. They also have a better overall record with 13 wins to Leicester’s 4 in their last 20 meetings.
The foxes have lost five home Premier League games this season, one more than they lost last season (4). The Reds, on the other hand, have lost consecutive league games for the first time under Jürgen Klopp – they’ve not lost three in a row in the Premier League since November 2014 when managed by Brendan Rodgers.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
