Leicester host West Brom at the King Power Stadium (Leicester) in the 32nd round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Thursday, April 22. Read our reasons for Leicester vs West Brom prediction and betting tips.
Leicester booked their spot in the FA Cup final at Southampton's expense on Sunday. After back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Man City in the league, victory was the perfect morale boost ahead of the final games of the campaign. The Foxes are sat 3rd in the standings and a top-four finish is entirely in their hands. Meanwhile, two wins on the bounce over Chelsea and Southampton have lifted West Brom to within nine points of safety with a game in hand over 17th-placed Burnley. The Baggies’ task may border on impossible, but a win here will have Burnley looking over their shoulder.
Leicester recovered from losing to Man City and West Ham in this competition when edging out Southampton in Sunday’s cup semi. Kelechi Iheanacho netted the only goal of the game, taking his superb recent tally to 10 in seven matches. Jamie Vardy has taken a backseat in terms of being the star man but did all of the donkey work when helping to set up that strike. Vardy has now gone 11 games without a goal, but he does have a great record against West Brom, scoring six times in the last eight renewals of this fixture.
Leicester are looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League but defeat this weekend could see West Ham and Chealse both overtaking them if they fail to get the win on home turf on Friday night. Spurs and Liverpool are also hot at their heels. The feeling of deja vu following last season's horrific implosion is getting harder to ignore and while nothing is set in stone yet, the Foxes face an uphill battle to stop their season unravelling.
As for West Brom, the Baggies still look set for a quick return to the Championship but that shouldn’t take anything away from their last two Premier League wins. If they can score five past Chelsea, one of the best defensive sides in European football, they can surely come away with something from the King Power Stadium, where Leicester have faltered too often this season. Anyway, the Baggies simply have to kick on from here to have any chance of beating the drop.
The Baggies are still nine points from safety, so the odds are huge on them pulling off a great escape. However, they have lost just one of their last five home matches, beating Brighton and Southampton here and drawing with Fulham, Man United, and Newcastle. Portsmouth and West Ham went on to secure Premier League survival from similar positions in 2006 and 2007 respectively, but 19th-placed West Brom will need to continue winning to haul themselves out of trouble.

Leicester meet West Brom having failed to win in their last eight away league games against the Baggies (W5, D3) since a 4-2 defeat in January 1994. However, they have celebrated a comfortable 3-0 win in the reverse fixture in September and are looking to do a first league double over West Brom since that very season.
Interestingly, none of the nine Premier League meetings between Leicester and West Brom have been won by the home side (D2, L7) and even though we expect the Foxes can break the trend here, we can’t ignore the fact that Sam Allardyce can become the first Premier League manager to beat Leicester with four different clubs, having previously done so with Bolton, West Ham, and Everton.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
