RB Leipzig's defense against Dortmund's offense looks like a perfect ending of the rich Bundesliga program on Saturday.
Leipzig felt the full force of Haaland on Matchday 33 of last season as Dortmund clinched the runners-up spot courtesy of the 2020 Golden Boy's brace. It's Die Roten Bullen who are leaders Bayern Munich's closest pursuers after 14 matches of the 2020/21 campaign, though, thanks in no small part to an eight-match unbeaten run. Indeed, Leipzig has only lost once in the league this season - a 1-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 6 - and boast the meanest defense with nine conceded.
Dani Olmo scored the only goal against VfB Stuttgart last time out as Julian Nagelsmann's side won without conceding for the seventh time so far this term - another league-best mark. The margin of victory would have been greater had Gregor Kobel not saved a first-half penalty from Emil Forsberg, preferred in a false nine role to center-forward Yussuf Poulsen. Defender Lukas Klostermann made his comeback as a substitute following injury and could feature, but winter signing Dominik Szoboszlai has been ruled out with an abductor strain. Only time will tell if defender Nordi Mukiele and winger Justin Kluivert make the grade.
Leipzig: Gulacsi - Orban, Upamecano, Halstenberg - Adams, Haidara, Kampl, Angelino - Sabitzer (c), Forsberg, Olmo
Out: Henrichs (knee), Konate (ankle), Laimer (knee), Nkunku (ankle), Szoboszlai (abductor)
Doubtful: Kluivert (calf), Mukiele (knock)
Coach: Julian Nagelsmann
Haaland returned to action in Dortmund's 2-0 home win over Wolfsburg. The 20-year-old was unable to add to his 10-goal tally for the campaign, but proved a real handful and showed no ill effects of the hamstring injury that kept him out of the previous seven competitive matches. Instead, it was Jadon Sancho taking the headlines with an assist and the first Bundesliga goal of the season. Midfielder Thomas Delaney also put in a solid shift and could continue in the side at the expense of Germany's international Emre Can.
American Gio Reyna made his fifth successive league start alongside Sancho and captain Marco Reus in the attack, with interim coach Edin Terzic largely settled on his preferred starting line-up after three league games in charge. BVB have won two of them and could climb as high as third with victory in Leipzig. The potential return of 16-year-old striker Youssoufa Moukoko would be a welcome boon in that regard, the 16-year-old having made history as the Bundesliga's youngest goalscorer in his previous outing, before being laid low with a knee injury. Winger Thorgan Hazard is out.
Dortmund: Bürki - Meunier, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Witsel, Delaney - Sancho, Reus (c), Reyna - Haaland
Out: Hazard (muscular), Schmelzer (knee)
Doubtful: Bellingham (knock), Moukoko (knee)
Coach: Edin Terzic

Nagelsmann's team has recorded four Bundesliga clean sheets in a row and five would equal their club record. With their stunning form at home, Leipzig is the favorite to win this match.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
