RB Leipzig has a 100 percent home record and struggling Koln has little chances to break their streak when they visit the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.
Leipzig's six wins from as many home games have them in the mix at the top of the table going into their final Bundesliga game of 2020. A seventh, coupled with a draw between leaders Bayer Leverkusen and defending champions Bayern Munich, would see them end the calendar year in first place for the second straight season. With a trip to Augsburg in the second round of the DFB Cup to follow next week, Julian Nagelsmann is expected to continue his habit of keeping players, fans, and pundits alike guessing as to his team selection.
Croatian midfielder Dani Olmo leads the way for team assists and compatriot Angelino for goals, while Yussuf Poulsen scored for the second straight game in the midweek win at Hoffenheim. Angelino is the league’s second highest-scoring defender this season (four goals). Defender Marcel Halstenberg is expected to be rotated back in, but Roma-owned forward Justin Kluivert is a doubt after picking up a calf strain. The likes of Tyler Adams and Alexander Sorloth are also pushing for starts.
Leipzig: Gulacsi - Konate, Upamecano, Halstenberg - Adams, Sabitzer (c), Kampl, Angelino - Olmo, Forsberg - Poulsen
Doubtful: -
Out: Henrichs (knee), Hwang (not included), Klostermann (knee), Laimer (knee), Nkunku (ankle), Samardzic (not included)
Coach: Julian Nagelsmann
Koln was 15th at the turn of the year and they are on course to occupy the same position heading into 2021. After picking up their second win in three games last weekend, they were heavily beaten by their local rivals Bayer Leverkusen in midweek to remain on the brink of the relegation zone. There was some positive news for their coach Markus Gisdol, as captain Hector made his return to the squad for the first time since Matchday 2, and his experience could come in particularly useful in Leipzig.
Gisdol can also welcome back playmaker Ondrej Duda from suspension, for another shot in his team's arm. With two goals and as many assists, the Slovakian has had a direct hand in more goals than any of his teammates so far this term, despite playing as a forward in his last two outings. Striker Sebastian Andersson could be the man to make way.
Koln: T. Horn (c) - Cestic, Bornauw, J. Horn - Skhiri - Wolf, Özcan, Rexhbecaj, Jakobs - Duda, Thielmann
Doubtful: -
Out: Czichos (groin), Ehizibue (not included), Kainz (knee)
Coach: Markus Gisdol

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
