Leipzig (4-2-3-1) faces Paris Saint Germain (4-3-3) at the Estadio do Sport in Lisbon in the Semi-finals of UEFA Champions League 2019/20 on Tuesday 18 August 2020 at 21:00.
Leipzig is coming from an unexpected victory in previous game against Atletico Madrid. They weren't the favorite on the card, but they proved to everyone which club was better. This is the first time that Leipizg achives a placement in the Semi-finals of UEFA Champions League.
Their task in this match against French team is quite clear, they simply need to win this one. Their coach, the 33 years old Julian Nagelsmann, is now looking forward to do even better, like reach a place in the Finals of the most prestigious European competition of all. But, to do that he first needs to beat their next opponents this Tuesday. Fortunately for him, he can count on lot of his players, starting from the left back Angelino (2 assists in UEFA Champions League), on loan from Manchester City, who is doing a very good job on the left side of the pitch, thanks to his velocity, even with the ball between his legs. Also the midfield, composed mostly by Marcel Sabitzer (4 goals and 3 assists in UEFA Champions League and 9 goals and 7 assists in Bundesliga 2019/20) who is always ready to help his teammates in important games, just like he did in previous one when he made an assist. Of course, he is not the only one. Also Spanish Dani Olmo (3 goals and 1 assist in UEFA Champions Leafue and 3 goals and 1 assist in Bundesliga 2019/20) after some problems at the begging in Leipzig, is now proving how much he is worth.
Leipzig's only forward will be Yussuf Poulsen (1 assist in UEFA Champions League and 5 goals and 6 assists in Bundesliga 2019/20) who now should try to carry on his back his team by scoring, and make them forget as soon as possible their best striker in history, Timo Werner.
Paris Saint Germain is coming from a victory against Atalanta in previous game. They were loosing, but than something happend, they succeeded to overturn the result, by scoring two goals in few minutes. Paris Saint Germain will play the Semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after 25 long years since last time.
Their task in this match against German team is also quite clear, just like their opponents, they simply need to win. There won't be another chance. Their coach Thomas Tuchel has never won this prestigious cup. This could be his chance.
German coach will count on his players, starting from legendary Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, who did a lovely job in previous game by stopping any Duvan Zapata's attempt. In the center of the midfield should be once again Marquinhos (1 goal in UEFA Champions League and 3 goals and 1 assist in Ligue 1 2019/20) who started his career as defender. He scored the goal of the momentary 1-1 in previous game.
Paris Saint Germain's best card is surely the attack, who is composed by Brazilian left wing or even forward Neymar (3 goals and 3 assists in UEFA Champions League and 13 goals and 6 assists in Ligue 1 2019/20) who played very well in previous game, no matter of the goal chance missed at the begging of the game. Everyone knows what he is able to do with the ball between his legs, he proved that even in the last game with some dangerous actions. In the center of the attack should be Argentinian Mauro Icardi (5 goals in UEFA Champions League and 12 goals and 2 assists in Ligue 1 2019/20) who needs a redemption after a bad game against Atalanta. Last, but surely not least, French diamond Kylian Mbappe (5 goals and 5 assists in UEFA Champions League and 18 goals and 5 assists in Ligue 1 2019/20) who surprisingly played in previous game, after the ankle injury he suffered in the Finals of the French cup almost a month ago. He entered the pitch and proved everybody why he is one of the biggest talent football fans ever seen.
Paris Saint Germain will travel in Portugal with aim to win and continue their road to the Finals.
This will be the first time these two club will face each other in UEFA Champions League. They have faced each other once 6 years ago, but it was a friendly game.

This match should see plenty of goal chances by both sides. Both teams love to spend most of their time in the attack side, instead of defending. This will be their only chance to reach a placement in the Finals, so they will surely spend a lot of time by trying to score.
Having said all that about these two teams, I would rather think that Paris Saint Germain will win this match.
So my final prediction is: 2

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
