LIVERPOOL VS LEICESTER MATCH ANALYSIS
Drawing against City (1-1) before the international break meant that the Reds have let Tottenham and Leicester overtake them at the top of the table. Liverpool are now 3rd in the standings with 17 points, having been unbeaten in the league in the last four matches (W2, D2) after their trashing at the hands of Aston Villa. As for the Foxes, they are in impressive form, and have been on a six-game winning runin all competitions. They are top of the league with 18 points, and have won three PL games on the trot after suffering back-to-back home defeats against West Ham and Aston Villa.
Liverpool got off to a great start of the campaign with three wins, but then the Reds hit the wall against Villa, shipping 7 goals in the process. It was the first time Liverpool had conceded seven goals since 1963 and it was only their fourth Premier League defeat since January 2019. However, they bounced back with a seven-game unbeaten run (W5-D2) and are now top of their Champions League group and up there in the Premier League respectively. They now host the PL leaders, before they continue their European campaign in midweek, as well.
In their last match against Man City, Jurgen Klopp fielded an all-out attacking line-up at the Etihad, with in-form Diogo Jota included alongside the front three of Firmino, Mane, and Salah. Liverpool knew a win would see them overtake Leicester and Tottenham, but City equalized just after the half-hour mark. Both sides pushed for the win but shared the spoils in the end. Klopp will never be fully satisfied with a point but he will surely still be glad his team was resilient defensively, as they played without injured Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, and Alexander-Arnold who limped off the pitch early in the game.
Leicester, on the other hand, after winning their first three games in the PL, lost comfortably to Hammers at home, which was followed by another dire home display against Villa. It was once more proven that without Jamie Vardy to call upon up front, Leicester struggles to carve out meaningful chances. However three victories in Europe and three wins - against Arsenal, Leeds, and Wolves before the break - have put them back on the right path ahead of the Liverpool match.
In their most recent league game, they saw off Wolves to go into the international break top of the Premier League table. In spite of injuries to Ndidi, Amartey, and Pereira, new £25m signing Timothy Castagne and Soyuncu, the Foxes have bettered the start they made in 2015-16 when they won the title. The Foxes have won their last six matches in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and conceding just twice, but Liverpool away will be a big test of their resolve.

Top position in the Premier League standings will be at stake when Liverpool take on Leicester City at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. The international break arguably came at a bad time for both sides. Liverpool's injury problems have only got worse since their last match, while Leicester were flying, on a six-game winning streak, prior to the break.
The Egypt international, Mohamad Salah, who scored his eighth goal of the season against Man City will miss the Leicester game through coronavirus infection. However, the Foxes still have to worry about Sadio Mane, who helped Senegal record back-to-back wins over Guinea Bissau.
The Foxes, on the other hand, are looking for their seventh successive win in all competitions. Brendan Rodgers is still doing a great job with this Leicester side, will be without Ndidi and Soyuncu, as they remain sidelined for the visitors.
BettingKick’s prediction for Liverpool vs Leicester match is: Over 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
