2 - 1
Liverpool host Sheffield Utd in the 6th round of the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday, October 24 and the match kicks off at 8pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Liverpool had a perfect start with three wins out of three, before being dismantled by Aston Villa in a 7-2 defeat, the biggest loss so far under Klopp at Liverpool. They followed it with a draw (2-2) in the Merseyside derby, spoiled by too much controversy, but enough to move them up to 3rd place in the table with 10 points.
Sheffield Utd, on the other hand, have had a poor start, which is a worrying situation for the Blades, as they continue their five-games winless streak, similar to the one from the back end of the last season. They are above Fulham in the 19th place on goal difference, with just one point in the first five weeks.
MATCH PREVIEW
After a great start, the Reds hit the wall against Villa last weekend, shipping 7 goals in the process. It was the first time Liverpool had conceded seven goals since 1963 and it was only their fourth Premier League defeat since January 2019. Also, Liverpool's 13 goals conceded is their most after five games of a league season since 1937-38. You can blame it on Liverpool's defensive high line or individual mistakes or just them being unfortunate, but other opponents will take notes and it's up to Klopp to lift them up after the bitter disappointment with the outcome of last weekend’s derby.
Liverpool were denied a stoppage-time winner by the video assistant referee, but what will hurt them more is the surgery that Van Dijk has to undergo after a reckless challenge by everton keeper, who escaped the deserved sending-off. Their woes were compounded by another horror tackle by Richarlison on Thiago. Fortunately for the reds he will miss only a few games, including their midweek Champions League match against Ajax and their weekend league match against the Blades.
As for Sheffield Utd, they need to quickly get over disappointment from their four consecutive league defeats and in Chris Wilder they should have a manager who’ll know how to get them back to winning ways. However, it will be awfully hard to repeat the last year's campaign and more realistically, the number one goal for 20/21 will be to ensure they stay up comfortably.
In the meantime, they have signed Rhian Brewster, talented attacker from Liverpool for £23.5m in a club's record deal. Blades forward Lys Mousset is out injured while Oli Burke is yet to get off the mark since he arrived as part of a swap deal with Callum Robinson, who has scored twice for this new side West Brom this season. Wilder's side, who remain 19th in the Premier League after an insipid draw with Fulham, have a tough run of upcoming fixtures. After Liverpool, they host last season’s runners-up Manchester City a week later.

Liverpool have conceded 13 goals in their five Premier League games this season - they conceded as many after 15 games last term. Thirteen goals is the most Liverpool have shipped after five league games since 1953-54 (also 13)
Mohamed Salah's goal was his 100th for Liverpool in all competitions, in his 159th game for the club.
Sheffield United have failed to win any of their opening five league games to a season for the first time since 2006-07, when they were relegated from the Premier League.
The Blades have lost their last 4 away Premier League games and, more worryingly, won only 1 of their 12 most recent away Premier League clashes.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
