Man City host Leeds at the Etihad (Manchester) in the 31st round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 12.30 pm (UK) on Saturday, April 10. Read our reasons for Man City vs Leeds prediction and betting tips.
Man City is slowly getting near the championship, being seated comfortably at the top of the table in the Premier League after easily putting away the top-four contenders Leicester 2-0 when they visited King Power Stadium at the weekend. Manager Pep Guardiola and his side are still focused on the Quadruple, and they’re taking each match confidently, as it seems. Meanwhile, Bielsa’s side lead the bottom half of the Premier League table, at 11th. The Whites prevailed in the Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United, 2-1, in their previous encounter and are now facing an uphill climb to get anything at the Etihad.
After beating the Foxes on Saturday Pep Guardiola's team have 74 points and need to claim only 11 more for a fifth Premier League title. Goals from Benjamin Mendy and Gabriel Jesus sent City 14 points clear of second-placed Man United and secured City's 15th successive away win in all competitions, which was even more impressive as it came against high-flying Leicester and with many of Guardiola's men just back from international duty.
City lined up with no Bernardo Silva, no Gundogan, no Sterling, and no Phil Foden. Those are the tough decision that will be taken by Guardiola in the coming weeks as his side continue to fight on all fronts. As the games roll on and City remain in contention it will become more and more about simply getting the job done. Guardiola will be keen for his side to reserve as much energy as they can during games. It also means their best XI will probably only take to the field for knockout games in the cup competitions given that the league is as good as won.
On the other hand, Leeds United earned bragging rights with a win in their Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Utd on Saturday. Much of the rhetoric at Elland Road this season has centered around the impact that Patrick Bamford and Raphinha have had on Leeds United’s long-awaited return to the top flight. The pair have both been in blistering form at times and put in eye-catching performances again against the Blades, but it was Harrison who ultimately made a couple of crucial contributions.
Leeds sit just outside the top ten in the Premier League in eleventh place, but back to back victories in their last two league games will give them the confidence to push on towards securing a top-half finish with eight games left to play. Coming into Saturday’s match against the City, Leeds have won more away games this season than at home. Those victories came against five sides currently below them in the Premier League table and have been the bedrock of their 11th place. Without the supporters, Leeds’ first season back in the top-flight after 16 years could hardly have gone much better.

Man City meet Leeds at the Etihad after sharing the spoils with the Whites at the Elland Road in the reverse fixture in October. The last time the two sides had met before that was a 4-0 City win in a 2013 FA Cup tie.
Leeds played well against Man City earlier this season and held Pep Guardiola’s side to a 1-1 draw. The Citizens will find it hard again against a high-pressing relentless side, but given that they are in brilliant form and look set to win the league title, they should win this one, but only just.
