Man City appear to dropped their level at the wrong moment. Spurs fell behind to Danny Ings’ opener before a second-half comeback was sealed by a neat strike from Gareth Bale and Son Heung-min’s penalty. Academy graduate Mason now has the chance to send himself into club folklore by ending a 13-year trophy drought.
Also, it was important to go into the weekend on the back of a positive result and performance and with the second-half display against the Saints, Spurs can take huge belief from it. The belief, the commitment, the energy were there and it seems like Tottenham can only benefit from this timely change of managers. Mason is hopeful Kane will recover from an ankle injury in time to feature, as this is obviously a big step up in class from edging out Saints.

Man City meet Tottenham in the Carabao Cup Final after going down 3-0 when they last met at Etihad Stadium a couple of months ago. However, the Spurs have beaten City 2-0 on home turf this term. As 2019/2020 cup holders, Man City come into the match as favourites but the match could go both ways for sure. It's a shame for the spectacle that both Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane are likely to miss out on Sunday but City you feel are better equipped to cope without their talisman for the odd game than Tottenham with goal machine Kane. Sunday's final may perhaps be closer than it looked a few weeks back but City are expected to claim their third FA Cup in 10 years.
