Man City host Wolves at the Etihad Stadium (Manchester) in the 26th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 12.30 pm (UK) on Tuesday, March 2. Read our reasons for Man City vs Wolves prediction and betting tips.
The 2019 Premier League champions come into the weekend a huge ten points clear of United at the summit, with West Ham their latest victims in a 2-1 Etihad raid on Saturday, meaning they have now won a record-busting 14 on the bounce in the top-flight. On the other hand, Wolves have returned to form themselves in recent weeks, and are targeting a return to the top half of the table under the Tuesday night lights. The Wanderers are unbeaten in five league games (W3, D2) after they had settled for a 1-1 draw against Newcastle at the weekend, but still remain in 12th place.
Where do we start when it comes to Guardiola and City? Twenty straight wins is the kind of achievement that is reserved for the truly elite in world football. Now, Manchester City can almost certainly claim to be part of that category after an incredible run of form across multiple competitions. Pep Guardiola knows the league title is already within touching distance and while there’s still a ‘title race’ of sorts happening, no other team in the league looks like causing City any substantial problems.
There are so many different wins to talk about but even across the last 18 days, Manchester City’s consistency has been on a whole other level. They beat Swansea in the FA Cup, Tottenham in the league and Everton in the PL too, scoring nine goals across those three games. They then edged past Arsenal, beat Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League and fought hard to overcome West Ham last time out.
Meanwhile, the Wanderers fans probably don’t have to worry about the threat of relegation – but we don’t think that’s really the point. They’ve gone from UEFA Europa League quarter-finalists to a team that just can’t inspire any kind of creative or attacking football. It’s a sorry state of affairs and it’s only going to get worse as time goes on, which raises questions about the future of Nuno Espirito Santo as manager.
Winning has been a bit more frequent for Wolves lately after success against Arsenal, Southampton and Leeds to go alongside a dull draw against Leicester. Alas, the loss to Southampton and the 1-1 draw at Newcastle last night served as a reminder of how far this team still has to go in order to reach their former glories. However, the recent return of wingbacks Jonny, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Marcal has galvanized the side and given Nuno some badly needed options.

Man City meet Wolves trying to romp their way to what would be an unprecedented quadruple and Nuno Espirito Santo's team is the next one that stands in their way. City will try to extend their record-winning run to 21 against Wolves at the Etihad in a couple of days, with Nuno’s men having done the double over them last season, including a 2-0 away victory.
And, even though Guardiola has issued a warning to his players that they must expect to ‘suffer’ against the Wanderers on Tuesday night, we are more prone to believe that it will be quite opposite when the two sides meet, with City recording their 7th consecutive home win last time out, keeping a clean sheet in six of those.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
