Manchester Utd host Burnley at Old Trafford (Manchester) in the 32nd round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 4 pm (UK) on Sunday, April 18. Read our reasons for Manchester Utd vs Burnely prediction and betting tips.
The Clarets have a great record at Old Trafford, being unbeaten in their last four visits and netting twice on each of the past three trips here. Burnley will be keen to get something out of this match, having blown leads versus Southampton and Newcastle to remain dangerously close to the drop zone. United are on course to finish second after a fine 3-1 win at Tottenham but have dropped points in seven of their 15 home games and this could be more competitive than the result odds suggest.
United extended their excellent away record when winning 3-1 at Tottenham last weekend, with the Red Devils now unbeaten in 16 Premier League road trips. United have been superb at coming from behind to claim victories this term and responded through Fred, Cavani, and Mason Greenwood after Son Heung-min gave Spurs a half-time lead. They do need to stop conceding that first goal and make it a bit easier for the fans. On the other hand, it’s something that shows great character and spirit.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaers’s side started the year with a strong chance of challenging Man City for the Premier League title, but they look set to end as the best of the rest behind the Cityzens. Nevertheless, the Red Devils are continuing to improve under manager Solskjaer. A silver medal finish with as small a gap as possible between first and second would be seen as a great effort. They are moving in the right direction, there can be no questioning that.
As for Burnley, they are still looking over their shoulders at the drop zone after blowing leads in their last couple of matches. The Clarets went 2-0 up at Southampton before going down 3-2 and lost 2-1 to Newcastle on home turf after being ahead at half-time. Sean Dyche is refusing to press any panic buttons, though. Having already won away to Liverpool and Arsenal this season, Burnley may make the short trip down the M66 to Old Trafford with little fear.
The Clarets remain seven points clear of the bottom three and 18th-placed Fulham, who have played a game more than Dyche’s men. And the Burnley boss believes his side is still in good shape in 15th place in the table given the way a testing season has panned out. Dyche’s side have won only twice since January, with Sunday’s defeat the second match in a row where a half-time lead has ended in a loss, but the manager said it was a case of good performances going unrewarded rather than a crisis in form ahead of a trip to Old Trafford.

Man United meet Burnley looking to complete their first league double over Burnley since the 1975/76 campaign, following their 1-0 win at Turf Moor in the reverse fixture. Interestingly, the home side won three of the first four Premier League meetings between Man Utd and Burnley (D1) while since then, the home side has failed to win any of the nine meetings between the sides (D3, L6).
Burnley have a great record at Old Trafford, being unbeaten in their last four visits and netting twice on each of the past three trips here.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
