MAN CITY VS FULHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
Man City have been blowing hot and cold this season after a glitchy start to the campaign. However, they were on a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions until a fortnight ago, when they lost to Tottenham in London (2-0). The defeat came after they had drawn against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool (1-1), but with those two fixtures out of the way, they are back on track with a convincing 5-0 win against Burnley. That win is good enough for the 11th place with 15 points in the early running, albeit with a game in hand. As for the Cottagers, Fulham once again do not seem to be competitive at the Premier League level. Fulham made a slow start to the season with seven defeats in ten games, but with a surprising win at Leicester (1-2), they have added the second win to their tally, as they have escaped the drop zone for the first time this season. They are in 17th place with 7 points ahead of another away game against a top Premier League team.
Man City are eager to regain the domestic title, and following a slow start to the season, they have shown signs of improvement lately. They are doing alright on all fronts, but the busy schedule and injuries are playing their part in the way how this season is unfolding for them. They were on a five-match unbeaten streak in the league (W2-D3) since their home defeat to Leicester (2-5) in the 4th round, but they were below par in their second league defeat to another early title contenders, Tottenham. However, they bounced back immediately with a win against bottom-fodders Burnley.
Riyad Mahrez scored his first Man City hat-trick as they defeated Burnley 5-0 at Etihad Stadium for the fourth time in a row. After having scored only 10 goals in their opening eight top-flight matches, Burnley were meant to pay the ultimate price. The fact that the aggregate score in their last seven matches is 28-1, is telling. Also, both Mendy and Torres netted their first league goals for City, as they are looking forward to smashing another relegation candidate, Fulham, on Saturday.
The last season's play-off winners in the Championship were exposed in the first nine matches for all their shortcomings and weaknesses, and they will have to raise their game significantly if they want to avoid the drop. The Cottagers have made their worst ever start in a top-flight after the first six games (D1 L5), but with a win in round 7 (2-0 against West Brom), they had avoided their worst run of games ever. They suffered two more defeats since, at the hands of West Ham (1-0) and Everton (2-3), before picking up their second win in the last four games (W2-L2).
Scott Parker praised forward Ivan Cavaleiro's "courage" as his penalty helped Fulham climb out of the Premier League relegation places. Parker's side had missed three penalties on the trot before Cavaleiro converted to help secure victory at Leicester, who missed the chance to go level on points with leaders Tottenham. Fulham’s form is on the up, and after losing 14 of their past 15 matches against a top-four side, this is their first such win in a while. That bit of extra confidence can make them more difficult rivals for City than expected.

The hosts have won in the last nine clashes with Fulham in all competitions, scoring 27 goals while shipping just three in this run, while Fulham are winless in their last 15 meetings with Man City in all (D3-L12).
Man City are looking to win back-to-back Premier League games for the first time this season. After resting several first-team regulars in the Champions League clash against Porto (0-0), Pep Guardiola is likely to field the best possible side against Fulham with Both Aguero and Ake fully fit to face the Cottager. The capital club, on the other hand, is seen as one of the main candidates to suffer an immediate return to the Championship, but given their recent resurgence, the underdogs could at least put up a fight. Serbia international Aleksandar Mitrovic is likely to be recalled to the starting XI after coming from the bench in the last league match.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
