Manchester City host Leicester in their Premier League home debut in the third PL week at The Etihad Stadium (Manchester) on Sunday, September 27 and the match kicks off at 4.30pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Manchester City opened their Premier League campaign with an away win against their Premier League'boogie' team, Wolves (1-3). By the time they play against Leicester, they will have already featured in the third round of the Carabao Cup against Bournemouth in midweek. In spite of losing Aguero for two months possibly, there is still enough fire-power within the City squad to beat whoever they play against, which is why they will feel confident against the Premier League leaders Leicester on Sunday.
The Foxes, on the other hand, are top of the table after two weeks on goal difference above Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Palace, but it's way too early to get carried away. Last season they were in the top-four most of the campaign only to finish outside the Champions League spots eventually. In midweek they lost to Arsenal at home (0-2), in the third round of the Carabao Cup and the bad news are compounded by rumors that Wilfred Ndidi, a makeshift replacement for the injured Jonny Evans could be out for twelve weeks.
MATCH ANALYSIS
City started their season away to Wolves with an emphatic win after they lost both last season's fixtures to them. It was a tough test of their resolve and their ambition to regain the Premier League trophy. They added Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres this summer, but they lost hugely instrumental David Silva. They were also linked with another big signing Kalidou Koulibaly, but nothing came out of it. Defense is still where they are most vulnerable, and as they didn't have any practice games, it is difficult to predict how far they are going to go.However, one thing is for sure, anything else but three points will be a blow for Guardiola's side on Sunday.
As for Leicester, they will be hoping to build on a 3-0 win against West Brom in their season opener and a hard-fought 4-2 win against Burnley last week. However, defeat against Arsenal in the cup, was a reminder that Rodgers' side often blows hot and cold. Poor form in the second half of the last season, when they won only four of their last 17 league matches and went out of both domestic cups – was down to various reasons, namely injuries, squad depth and a lack of fighting spirit when it mattered most. Encouragingly for the Foxes, Madisson will probably be in the starting eleven after starting in the Carabao Cup, but worryingly for Rodgers, their makeshift defense must soak up the pressure against City if they want to get anything from the game.

Finally, for some facts and stats. Looking back over the last decade, the two sides have played 17 times. The Citizens have been victorious 10 times and the Foxes have won 3 times , while 4 matches ended in a draw.
Man City have kept 11 clean sheets in their last 20 home games while the visitors have failed to score in only 4 of their last 20 away league games.
Man City's home games have seen 40% of their home matches ending with both teams scoring (W5 -D1-L2), and Leicester's percentage of their away games finishing with both teams scoring is little higher at 55% (W3-D5-L3)
Finally, when these sides have faced each other, there has been an average of 3.0 goals per game. Out of these, Man City have scored an average of 1.88 goals, while Leicester have averaged 1.12.
Man City face another tough but winnable fixture. However, instead of going for the City win, my prediction will be Over 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
