Southampton
2 - 2
The game kicks off at 8pm(UK) when Manchester United host Southampton on Monday 13 July at the Old Trafford.
It seems like Manchester United's form is at its peak at just the right time. They dismantled Aston Villa at Villa Park on Thursday (0:3) with goals from in-form Bruno Fernandes, teenage sensation Mason Greenwood and resurrected Paul Pogba. In midweek, they also found out the names of their possible opponents in the last eight of the Europa League - Istanbul Basaksehir or Copenhagen. But, even though they could go on to lift the Europa League cup, as their form suggests, they will be looking to secure the Champions League football, with or without lifting the EL trophy.
Southampton, on the other hand, are in a fine form of their own. They lost only one game after restart (DWLWW) and could have gotten away with three points against Everton on Thursday had they not had a penalty missed by Ward-Prowse J. Surely, they will be satisfied with a point, as they are now sitting comfortably in 12th place with 44 points. Things were looking grim for Ralph Hasenhuttl's side before lockdown, as they lost 6 games out of 7 in all competitions but,at the moment, they have absolutely turned their fortunes around are enjoying their football.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Manchester United are now on a 17-games unbeaten run (10 PL games). They were good in possession and controlled the game expertly against Aston Villa. Fernandes, surely, is at the heart of United's new dynamic and energetic outlook, with Greenwood, Pogba and Martial contributing too.
They have now scored 3+ goals in four consecutive games and if the Red Devils defeat the Saints on Monday, they will move two places up the table, overtaking Chelsea in 4th and Leister in 3rd, if only for a shortwhile because it's their in hand game. That's a lot to play for and, on their current form, it's hard to suggest otherwise.
Danny Ings was on a scoreboard again on Thursday and his form suggests he could revive his England career, as he is now the third player in PL to score 19 goals this season. Against Everton, they were a bit unlucky, as they could have had two more goals before the equalizer.
Southampton last defeated Manchester United (W4,D4) in January 2016 in all competitions, but that won't be much relevant when they visit Old Trafford on Monday. They have now picked 27 points in the league on their travels, with only powerhouses like Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City getting more, which suggests they won't be there for the taking when they go to Manchester.

The performances over the last couple of weeks are what the Red Devil's fans expect to see from men who wear the shirt. Manchester are in a good place right now, but they mustn't lose their focus and take the foot of the pedal. Not for a moment, if they want to secure the Champions League football next year.
Ralph Hasenhuttl's side is reinvigorated as well. The Saint's manager stuck to his principles and philosophy during difficult times for his club, and that approach is now paying off. Relegation seems like a long-forgotten word now and they can even dare to contemplate getting one of the Europa League spots, which, to be fair, looks like a really distant possibility.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
