MAN UTD VS MAN CITY MATCH ANALYSIS
After beating West Ham in London (1-3), the Red Devils have climbed to 6th in the standings with 19 points from their respective fixtures, albeit with a game in hand. They suffered a home defeat to top-four rivals Arsenal (0-1) four rounds ago, but have since bounced back with four consecutive league wins against Everton (1-3), West Brom (1-0), and Southampton (2-3) and lastly, West Ham. As for Man City, they were on a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions until November 21, when they lost to Tottenham in London (2-0). The defeat came after they had drawn against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool (1-1), but with those to fixtures out of the way, they are back on track with convincing back-to-back wins against Burnley (5-0) and Fulham (2-0), which has been for the 7th place with 18 points in the early running, also with a game in hand.
Man Utd are blowing hot and cold at the moment and Solskjaer cannot afford another bad run of results. They are doing alright in the Premier League, but their form in Europe could be better. They have picked up nineteen points after ten matches, but have had to wait for nine rounds to get their first home win in the league against the Baggies (W1-D1-L3). That is something that has never previously happened in the Premier League era, and they have to thank their away form that is keeping them close to the top with their game in hand.
They wrote history last weekend as they made another stunning comeback in the fifth consecutive away match. Solskjaer’s side responded to their midweek Champions League defeat by Paris St-Germain (1-3) by staging another Premier League fightback. Goals from Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and substitute Marcus Rashford turned things around for Man Utd, who have fallen behind in all five away games this term but have won every match as part of a club-record nine successive away league victories.
Their Manchester rivals, on the other hand, are eager to regain the domestic title, and following a slow start to the season, they have shown big signs of improvement lately. They are doing alright on all fronts, but the busy schedule and injuries are playing their part in the way how this season is unfolding for them. They were on a five-match unbeaten streak in the league (W2-D3) since their home defeat to Leicester (2-5) in the 4th round, but they were below par in their second league defeat to another early title contenders, Tottenham. However, they bounced back immediately with comfortable wins against bottom-fodders Burnley and Fulham.
After a comfortable win over Fulham at the Etihad thanks to Raheem Sterling's close-range finish and a Kevin de Bruyne penalty, they are now six points behind the league's joint leaders, Tottenham Liverpool. Having struggled for consistency so far this season, they have now ensured their progress to the Champions League last 16 with two group games to spare, and are unbeaten in the last four Premier League games (W3-D1).

Pep Guardiiola+s side has won their last two Premier League games by an aggregate score of 7-0. That’s as many goals as they’d scored in their previous seven league games combined.
Man City's Raheem Sterling has won 20 penalties in the Premier League, more than any other player in the competition's history, but he has never scored in 16 matches against United.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
