Middlesbrough host Nottingham Forest at Riverside Stadium (Middlesbrough) in the 9th round of the Championship on Saturday, October 31 and the match kicks off at 3pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Neil Warnock's incredible work at Middlesbrough this season is bringing out results with the Teessiders beating Coventry 2-0 at the Riverside in midweek. Boro are unbeaten in their last seven league games (W3-D4) with their only defeat of the season coming on the opening day to Watford (1-0). They are 8th in the table with 13 points ahead of this weekend.
Nottingham Forest had Luton midfielder Glen Rea to thank in midweek as his own goal helped the Reds claim a point on the road. Chris Hughton has drawn three and won one of his first four league games in charge at Forest and they have not lost since he took over, after losing first four matches on the trot. With the latest draw they are 20th with 6 points.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Boro have not suffered a defeat in the last seven rounds and manager Neil Warnock will be pleased that his side are now starting to play the way he wishes them to - hard to break down and ruthless in front of goal.Warnock will also be pleased that Assombalonga scored, as Boro's captain will surely play a major role in whether they can mount a serious promotion challenge. Assombalonga also becomes Middlesbrough's top goalscorer of the millennium with 43 goals.
As for their second home win of the season against Coventry in midweek as the skipper and Djed Spence struck late on to help Middlesbrough break the Sky Blues. Neil Warnock's side dominated possession for large parts of the game but had to be patient in creating the opening, as well organised visitors stood firm until the late goals.Boro will now look to secure back-to-back home wins and their first win against Forest since April 2018.
Nottingham Forest travel to the North East to face Middlesbrough on Saturday as they look to continue their unbeaten run under Chris Hughton. However, despite their upturn in form, Forest still sit in 20th place, and will be very aware of how hard it will be to drag themselves away from the relegation zone.
On Wednesday, Forest came back from a goal down with 10 men to draw at Luton Town, albeit fortunately by an own-goal. To Forest's credit they were the better side after the break, despite being a man down, and deservedly equalised with 27 minutes left. After they visit Boro, Notts Forest have two must-win games at home to fellow strugglers Coventry and Wycombe, so it is important they get something from this game.

Middlesbrough have not conceded in three of their last four games, and boast their longest unbeaten league run (W3, D4) since a seven-game streak in 2018/19.
Boro are yet to lose at Riverside this Championship campaign (W2, D2).
Visiting Forest have won just one league game (W1, D3, L4), picking up less points and scoring less (0.63 per-match on average) than at this stage of any of their last ten Championship seasons. However, Chris Hughton’s appointment this month has steadied the ship, as Forest are yet to lose with him at the helm (W1, D3).
Away from home, each of Forest’s last 9 competitive matches have produced under 2.5 total goals, and they produced a measly 1.5 total goals per away match average this term in the league.
My prediction is: Under 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
