AC Milan (3-5-2) faces Bologna (3-4-1-2) at San Siro Stadium in Milan in the first round of Serie A 2020/21 on Monday 21 September 2020 at 20:45.
AC Milan ended the previous season on the 6th place, which means that they will play the qualification matches for UEFA Europa League. After a very bad start in the previous season, the popular “Rossoneri” managed to find the right path, thanks to their coach Stefano Pioli, and the help of legendary Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Since he came in January, AC Milan lost only 2 games, and after the League has restarted in June, they have never lost, achieving also 3 big victories against the best clubs in Italy, like Lazio, Roma and mostly Juventus. This Monday they will start this new season, and they should better start it just like they ended the previous.
Their object is known to anyone, they want to achieve a placement in UEFA Champions League for the next season, but to do that, they should better beat their next opponents this Monday, and start in the right way. Their coach, Stefano Pioli, believes in all of his players, starting from Turkish playmaker, Hakan Calhanoglu (9 goals and 9 assists in Serie A 2019/20), who proved in the second half of the previous season how much important he is for his club, just like his teammate, Croatian left wing Ante Rebic (11 goals and 3 assists in Serie A 2019/20). The main forward will be legendary Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic (10 goals and 5 assists in Serie A 2019/20), who wants to prove even this year, that age doesn't matter.
As we take a look to the away team, we have Bologna, who will be the host in Milan in their first match in Serie A of this new season. They ended the previous season on 12th place. The fans are satisfied of this result.
This Monday, Bologna is going in Milan to claim the bad defeat suffered a few months ago against AC Milan. This won't be any easy game for them, so they should better come prepared in they want to bring back home at least a draw.
Their coach, Serbian Sinisa Mihajlovic, who recently defeated even the Corona Virus, believes that his players can make him even more happier, by stopping their next opponents in their first match of this new season. He knows he can count on all of his players, starting from Italian midfielder Roberto Soriano (5 goals and 5 assists in Serie A 2019/20), to stop AC Milan's dangerous attempts and create some for his club, just like Italian right wing, young talented Riccardo Orsolini (8 goals and 6 assists in Serie A 2019/20), who has proved once again in the previous season why he is one of the best Italian talents. AC Milan's biggest problem will surely be Gambian forward, Musa Barrow (9 goals and 4 assists in Serie A 2019/20), club's main scorer in previous season, who can be very dangerous with his skills and his velocity, so the defenders should better keep their eyes opened on him.
This will be the 74th time they face each other. AC Milan is leading with 27 victories, instead of Bologna who has won 25 times. There are also 21 draws. The last time they have faced each other was in the second half of the previous season, AC Milan won (AC Milan 5-1 Bologna).

This match will be full of goal chances. Both teams will spend most of the time by attacking each other and trying to score. Since this will be the first game of this new season. AC Milan will be more offensive, they will spend most of their time by attacking and trying to score, instead of Bologna who will be more defensive, and try to use some AC Milan's mistakes to create some dangerous attempts and trying to score.
After all I said about those two teams and the match, I would think both teams will score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
