Milan hasn’t won a home game in Serie A in the last two months and Genoa collected five points in the last five games. Read our reasons for Milan vs Genoa prediction and betting tips.
The Rossoneri’s last victory at the San Siro is dated back to February 7 when the Diavoli trashed Crotone 4-0. The 3-1 victory at the Stadio Tardini was very hard-fought because, after Ante Rebic and Franck Kessie's goals, Ibrahimovic saw red for dissent an hour in. They held on for the three points and Rafael Leao came off the bench to seal the result in stoppages. “I like it when my players respect and reflect the same sensations we have in the staff. It was a delicate week because we knew that we weren’t up to Milan standards against Sampdoria and had to deliver today. “Parma are tough to play, we messed things up ourselves at one stage, but the important thing was to win,” the coach told the media. “The statistics show we do better away from home. It’s strange and we are evaluating the reasons, but the games are quite similar when playing behind closed doors. We want to take Milan back into the Champions League.’’
Milan has got strong competition from Juventus, Atalanta, Napoli, Lazio, and Roma, so they have to take it one game at a time and keep going. “These are all teams capable of winning eight or nine in a row, so we can take absolutely nothing for granted. Maybe we wasted too much time and energy thinking about the future or other situations. If you think too much about the game in a month, you won’t focus enough on the one that is coming up. We need to get back to the points average we had at the start of the season, but we can only do that if we take it one game at a time.”
Milan (4-2-3-1): G Donnarumma; Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Rafael Leao
Suspended: Ibrahimovic
Injured: Maldini, Calabria
Davide Ballardini is happy with Genoa’s performance against Juventus and predicted a bright future for Nicolò Rovella. The Grifone suffered a 3-1 defeat against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, but Ballardini was happy with his lads’ performance. “Genoa improved during the game, and we created goal-scoring opportunities when we were 2-1 down. We played a good game despite a slow start. I liked Genoa today,” he told the media. “I want Genoa to press high up the pitch and keep the ball possession. We went down one man when Zappacosta got injured, and once we conceded the third goal, everything became more complicated.”
Rovella played his first game against Juventus since he signed with the Old Lady in January, but Juan Cuadrado dribbled past him to assist Dejan Kulusevski. “That’s a situation he should not find himself in. He improves every day. I have no doubts he will reach the level required to play for Juventus. We are focused on this season only, we’ve done well, but it’s not enough. We must do even better. We want to do well and get the job done, then we’ll think about the rest.”
Genoa (3-5-2): Perin; Goldaniga, Radovanovic, Masiello; Biraschi, Strootman, Badelj, Zajc, Ghiglione; Destro, Scamacca
Suspended: Criscito
Injured: L Pellegrini, Zappacosta

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
