MILLWALL VS CARDIFF MATCH ANALYSIS
The Lions are in 9th place with 17 points (W4-D5-L2) and after winning four in their first eight league fixtures they are now on a little barren run of three games without a win (D2-L1). They have gone into an international break with two back-to-back goalless draws and have not scored a goal in three consecutive games ahead of the clash with the Bluebirds. As for Cardiff, they have amassed 13 points so far, which is enough for 15th place in the standings. The last season’s play-off participants have had a disappointing start to the new campaign with only three wins so far and the latest defeat coming at the hands of Bristol (0-1) before the Nations League break. After two home games they now travel to London and Coventry next hoping for some consistency.
Gary Rowett brought much needed stability to this Millwall side, while still maintaining Millwall's typical aggressiveness with pressing and getting under opponent's skin. They are still struggling for goals, but the foundations have been laid for them to build on their near miss with the play-offs last July. Historically, Millwall have not started seasons out of the blocks and now they have started on the front foot which bodes well for the rest of the campaign.
After two 0-0 draws on the road in last two round they may feel a little frusstrated, but the performances were just not there. Although a draw against promotion contenders Norwich can be wieved as a positive result, they should have done more to test the bottom-bound Sheffield Wed. They had a week to have a breather and the Cardiff match will be their chance to kick on and perform better than against the Owls.
Cardiff,on the other hand, have made a slow start to their Championship campaign. The Bluebirds form has been up and down since the start of the campaign and they might still be suffering the effects of a hangover from last season's play-off defeat to Fulham. They have lost some of the momentum as the see-saw results continue and they still haven’t strung two wind this season. They dispatched Barnsley (3-0) in round 10, but were waistful against Bristol next.
Both sides were looking to build on encouraging wins in midweek, with Cardiff comfortably beating Barnsley to record their first home win of the campaign, but they could not have made a worse start against the Robins as they again conceded first, something they have made an unwelcome habit of doing this term. They had numerous chances to at least grab a point, but could not find a way past the inspired Daniel Bentley.

The Lions want to end their three-game winless run in the Championship, and a win over Cardiff could see them reach the top six and the play-off spot. Milwall have a decent record at home (W1-D3-L1), but they will have to prove their worth on the field. The Bluebirds, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Bristol.
Cardiff are looking for their third away win of the campaign, but given their disappointing display in their last game before the international break, Millwall can come away with something from the match. The bad news for the hosts is that Northern Ireland defender Shane Ferguson suffered an injury in the 2-1 loss to Austria, so the Den may not be such an impenetrable fortress after all.
Bettingkick’s prediction for Millwall vs Cardiff match is: Under 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
