MILLWALL VS DERBY MATCH ANALYSIS
The Lions are in 13th place with 20 points (W4-D8-L3) and after winning four in their first eight league fixtures they are now on a little barren run of seven games without a win (D5-L2). They have gone into an international break with two back-to-back goalless draws, having not scored a goal in three consecutive games. They came back with three more draws and, most recently, a defeat against Blackburn (2-1) in midweek. As for the Rams, they will be looking to put an end to their eleven-matches winless run (D5-L6) when they visit the capital city on Matchday 16. They are second from the bottom with 8 points and the Rams just can’t find their form in the early stage of the season (W1-D5-L9). Wayne Rooney drew his first two games in charge of the Rams and thus, ended their four-game losing run, but they still remain 23rd in the standings.
Gary Rowett has brought much needed stability to this Millwall side, while still maintaining Millwall's typical aggressiveness with pressing and getting under opponent's skin. They are still struggling for goals, but the foundations have been laid for them to build on their near miss with the play-offs last July. Historically, Millwall have not started seasons out of the blocks and after their little unbeaten run (W3-D1) they are now seven games without a win, which does not bode well for the rest of the campaign.
In their most recent match on Wednesday against the Rovers, Adam Armstrong's deflected stoppage-time goal saw Blackburn beat the Lions, who slipped down to 13th place after failing to win for the eighth time in nine matches. After Scott Malone fired a deserved equaliser into the top corner, they were holding on to a draw before a mistake in the 91st minute cost them a point. They have not won a game in a month, and a win could take them closer to the playoffs berths once again, but a loss could see them sink into the bottom half of the table.
Derby’s form, on the other hand, represents their worst start to a season since setting the negative Premier League record in 2007-08, and are now only five points from the bottom Sheffield Wed following the draw against Coventry in midweek. The Rams have won just one game all season and are yet to register a victory at Pride Park. The quartet Rooney, Liam Rosenior, Shay Given, and Justin Walker oversaw two defeats after Phillip Cocu's exit on 14 November, but the Wycombe and Coventry games were the first with Rooney in sole charge of the Rams.
Wayne Rooney said he would "love" to become Derby's full-time manager after Coventry's injury-time equaliser denied him his first Championship win as caretaker boss in the midst of a club’s takeover by Abu Dhabi-based Sheik. The draw is the second time in two games that the Rams have had to settle for a point after taking the lead, with Wycombe also leaving Pride Park with a draw thanks to a late equaliser on Saturday.

Millwall have never lost consecutive home league matches against Derby ( they lost 3-2 in this exact fixture last season). However, if Derby do win, the Rams will end their 11-match winless run.
Millwall and Derby are on the two current longest winless runs in the Championship, while the Lions have drawn more games than any other side in the division this season (8)
Millwall are not in good form, scoring only three times in their last seven matches, but Derby are in an even worse form of their own. A draw would suit Derby more, but both teams will welcome a win to end their droughts.
BettingKick’s prediction for Millwall vs derby match is: Under 2.5 goals
