MILLWALL VS NORWICH MATCH ANALYSIS
Lions come into this match on the back of a 0-3 FA Cup Round 4 exit at the hands of Bristol and two draws in the Championship - a goalless draw against Watford and a 1-1 draw at Cardiff. The hosts are in 16th and a win against struggling Cardiff will get them back on track. As for Norwich, the Canaries remain top of the league, four points above second-placed Swansea after a disappointing goalless draw at the Carrow Road against Middlesbrough. They too are looking to keep the gap between the top and the rest of the pack.
Millwall ended their ten-game winless run with a 2-0 victory away at Bristol, but that result wasn’t that much of a catalyst for their re-ascent to the upper echelons of the table. They have moved further away from the right half of the table and three points here would go a long way to rectifying their hot-and-cold recent form. However, the Lions showed earlier in the season that they can turn on the pace when required, so pretty much anything can happen at the weekend.
Millwall’s 1-1 draw last time out - a league-high 13th of the Championship campaign - continued their steady fall down the table as they now sit closer to the relegation zone than the play-off spots. Rowett has named the same starting XI for Millwall's last two games, both draws, and the head coach is unlikely to deter too much from that side again.
Norwich, on the other hand, are determined to return to the Premier League immediately and will stick to their attacking style of play when they travel to the capital next. Finland attacker Pukki looks unstoppable at the moment, and he is likely to prove a handful for the visitors on Tuesday night. They lost to Barnsley in the FA Cup but, more importantly, they have to keep the momentum in the league which can change so quickly in the second-tier and are coming into this weekend’s match in hot form.
However, daniel Farke’s side drew 0-0 against Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough on Saturday at home. The Canaries had no shots on target and had star midfielder Emiliano Buendia sent off in the second-half to add to their woes. They have now dropped their first Championship points of 2021 and a point extended their unbeaten home run to 13 games, but it was still an afternoon to forget for the leaders.

In 11 head-to-head encounters between the two sides, Norwich hold a clear advantage. They have won seven games, lost two, and drawn two.
The Lions are struggling for goals and an average of just 0.85 goals scored per league fixture has been their main downfall. They are currently enduring a nine-game winless Championship run at home (D6, L3) - their worst such streak since March 2015 - and this match-up doesn’t bode well for them as haven’t beaten Norwich in four (D1, L3).
Norwich, on the other hand, will look to exploit that fact as they travel here with five points more after 26 games than at this stage during their last promotion campaign. They are in a great position but they should not be too over the moon because there are still a lot of points to play for.
