Montpellier (4-3-3) faces Olympique Lyon (4-2-3-1) at the Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier in the fourth round of the Ligue 1 2020/21 on Tuesday 15 September 2020 at 21:00.
Montpellier is coming from a big victory in their previous game at their home ground against OGC Nice (Montpellier 3-1 OGC Nice. This Tuesday evening they will host Olympique Lyon at their home ground and they will do anything to stop their next opponents and bring home a victory, or at least a draw. This game will be a tough one for the home team, since they will face one of the best French team.
Their coach, Armenian Michel Der Zakarian, believes that his players can win this game and bring back home 3 important points, and continue straight on their road after the great victory in the previous match. He believes in all of his players, starting from the French midfielder Teji Savanier (6 goals and 2 assists in Ligue1 2019/20) to be dangerous in both defensive and offensive phases. The defenders should better take care of French playmaker Gaëtan Laborde (2 goals in 2 appearances in Ligue 1 2020/21) who started really well this new season. Also, Algerian forward Andy Delort (9 goals and 3 assists in Ligue1 2019/20), who was club's main scorer in the previous season, could be a big problem for Olympique Lyon's defenders, who should better take care of him.
As we take a look at the away team, we have Olympique Lyon who is coming from one victory and 1 draw in their first two matches of the new season, including a draw at the away ground in the previous game against Bordeaux (Bordeaux 0-0 Olympique Lyon).
They are now looking forward to their next opponent this Tuesday evening. This time they will be Montpellier's guests at their home ground. Olympique Lyon surely won't go there to lose or to bring back home in Lyon 1 point, they are going there to win.
Their coach, Rudi Garcia knows he can count on all of his players, specially on French midfielder Houssem Aouar (3 goals and 3 assists in 25 appearances in Ligue 1) who has proved a lot of times how much important he is for his club, just like their capitain, Dutch wing Memphis Depay (3 goals in 2 appearances in Ligue1 2020/21) who scored an het-trick in the first game. Last but not least is French forward Moussa Dembele (16 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances in Ligue 1) who can be very dangerous in front of the goalkeeper. Bordeaux defenders should better keep their eyes opened on these players.
As we take a look to the last 10 matches these two clubs have face each other, we can see that Olympique Lyon is leading with 5 victories, instead of Montpellier who has won twice. There are also 3 draws. Last time they have face each other was in the first half of the previous season. Montpellier won (Montpellier 1-0 Olympique Lyon).

This match will be full of goal chances and both teams are motivated to win. Both clubs will spend most of their time by attacking and trying to score and bring back home a victory
After all I said about these two teams and the match, I would rather think that Olympique Lyon will win this game

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
