The Azzurri host Serse Cosmi’s side before Wednesday’s trip to the Allianz Stadium where they face Juventus in the rescheduled fixture from matchday 3. Napoli will reportedly continue the media blackout until the end of the campaign, as the silence persisted after the 2-0 win over Roma. Dries Mertens scored twice in the first half to reach a Serie A Century and give Napoli a big win against Roma at the Olimpico. Napoli, who have picked up wins against Milan and Roma in their last two games, are unbeaten in six games, but the media are still not wanted by President Aurelio De Laurentiis. Media reports the patron stopped members of the squad from speaking to the media, as he wanted to continue with ‘some sort of ritual’. The only words came from Mexican winger Hirving Lozano, who posted a photo on Instagram. “Happy to be back,” the attacker wrote after he returned to the pitch in the second half. Lozano has been out injured for more than a month and broke the silence with his post on social media.

Serse Cosmi sat on the bench staring into space for several minutes after Crotone fumbled a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 with Bologna. ‘Psychologically, that was a real blow.’ The Squali has certainly improved since Cosmi replaced Giovanni Stroppa, but the issue that hasn’t changed is their dismal defensive record. “Aside from going 2-0 up, we had also put in a perfect first-half performance. The result was more than deserved,” Cosmi told the media. “If anything, we had chances to extend our lead. From the first touch of the second half, you could tell something had changed, as we gave it away cheaply. We weren’t complacent so much as thinking we could continue what we did in the first half and that would be enough. Instead, Bologna changed their system and their personnel, using I think an approach we’d never seen this season from them. I doubt Sinisa Mihajlovic will use it again in the future either, as it was so attacking. We should’ve made more logical passes, but we conceded two goals with our entire defense in the penalty area.”
After the final whistle, Cosmi just sat on the bench and stared into space for several minutes. “It’s a shame because psychologically this was a real blow. If you lose when you are inferior from the start, you accept it differently. Having said that, whoever thinks they’re going to be up against a Crotone side ready to surrender will be making a huge mistake. This team scored eight goals in the last three games. If eight goals aren’t enough to bring home more than three points in that time, then we have a problem. It was a huge disappointment, but not just for me, it was for the city and the fans. A defeat like this feels so much worse, it’s unbearably painful to see such hard work wiped out when you were deservedly 2-0 up. Now there are 10 games to go, we’ll see what happens.”
Crotone (3-4-1-2): Cordaz; Golemic, Magallan, Djidji; Pedro Pereira, Molina, Benali, Reca; Messias; Di Carmine, Simy

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
