2 - 1
Newcastle host Everton at St.James Park in the 7th round of the Premier League on Sunday, November 1 and the match kicks off at 2pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Newcastle are 14th in the table with 8 points from their first six Premier League matches. They won on the opening day against West Ham in London (0-2), then lost at home to Brighton (0-3), and drew with Tottenham in London (1-1). In the 4th round, they were too strong for Burnley (3-1), but then lost at home to Manchester Utd (1-4) two weeks ago. Lastly, they held the Wolves to a draw (1-1) last Sunday.
As for Everton, after six weeks in the Premier League their unbeaten run of 5 games came to an end at Southampton (2-0) but they still deservedly top the league with 13 points and are above Liverpool on goal difference. Tottenham, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Brighton all fell to Everton including a tense draw with defending champions Liverpool (2-2) and the question is whether they can go on another streak after two games without a win.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Newcastle had won just 1 of their 8 home league games prior to Burnley's arrival at St James' Park in the 5th round, but they got back to the losing ways at home again in a 1-4 defeat to Man Utd where they had shipped three late goals in otherwise fine performance. Ahead of their match with the Toffees they cannot count on midfielder Matt Ritchie, who is facing a lengthy absence, and Dwight Gayle with knee injury, but goalkeeper Dubravka could be in contention for the Sunday’s match.
As for their last game, Jacob Murphy's 89th-minute free-kick rescued a point for Newcastle shortly after Wolves had taken the lead and denied them a third consecutive win. After a heavy defeat to Manchester United last time out, combined with illness and injuries affecting his squad, Steve Bruce made four changes to his starting eleven, and the team against Everton will certainly not be at full strength.
As for Everton, despite Liverpool going ahead twice in the Merseyside derby two weeks ago, the league leaders still managed to stretch their unbeaten run to eight competitive matches after a 2-2 draw with their fierce rivals. However, that run came to an end against Saints last week as the last remaining unbeaten record of the Premier League season was ended with Everton crashing to a defeat against an impressive Southampton at St Mary's.
Everton have received praises for the start they have made to the season but Carlo Ancelotti's side were second best against Saints. Too further ruin their day, Everton have received straight red cards in back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since December 2002. They will try to bounce back against Newcastle after they failed to force McCarthy into one serious save.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
