The game kicks off at 4pm (UK) when Newcastle United host Liverpool on Sunday 26 July at the St.James Park.
Newcastle have secured their safety a long time ago, and without anything of significance to play for, they are bidding their time until the season finishes. They won't be too stressed out after their goalless draw against Brighton on Monday, which was, of course, much more important to the Seagulls, as they are now guaranteed a place in the top division next season.
Liverpool lifted the eluding Premier League trophy after their victory against Chelsea on Wednesday, and will have every reason to still feel positive before their trip to the nearby Newcastle on the final day. Beating Chelsea in style (5:3) was a nice way to set up the wild celebrations that followed, and after 30 years of waiting, they had every right to do so.
NEWCASTLE VS LIVERPOOL MATCH ANALYSIS
After securing their safety, Newcastle lost three successive games, and drew one, so it's hard to believe they will raise their game for the Liverpool's visit. Their squad is decimated with injuries, and with as many as seven players out, Steve Bruce hasn't got enough options to choose from, especially in defense. He will probably stick with the same team that drew at the Amex stadium.
The Magpies haven't won in their last five matches (D2,L3), but were averaging 3.5 total goals in those games, so we can expect entertainment, when they welcome the Reds, even though their record number of draws at home, this season in the Premier League would suggest otherwise.
Liverpool will take a lot of positives from the Chelsea game, as they have not been playing to their standards lately. They put five past Kepa in their final home game, with Roberto Firminho, scoring his first goal at Anfield this season, Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson getting another two assists, and Naby Keita showing glimpses of what will be expected of him when the next season starts.
Liverpool will probably still be a little hungover from the celebrations that ensued, but will have to remember the trashing they got amidst another celebration, when they played City immediately after they mathematically secured the league.

Newcastle will have troubles assembling the first eleven, and will hope to at least try and spoil the fun for the visitors, who will probably shuffle the team as well, with Curtis Jones and few other youngsters getting a nod. Away from home, Liverpool have just a single victory from the last five away games, and didn't find the back of the net in three of those matches.
However, those stats are not too telling, as both teams lost any incentives and motivation a long time ago, and will probably consider this game a mere formality.
