Nice and Paris meet on Sunday in a match of the 4th round of the French Ligue 1 at the Allianz Riviera.
Back in Ligue 1 action after the international break, Nice suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 3-1 in Montpellier where historically they have often struggled. Montpellier went ahead on 18 minutes when Delort headed down for his strike partner Gaëtan Laborde, who swept home a half-volley that Walter Benitez had no chance of stopping. The Nice number one brilliantly kept the goalscorer at bay seven minutes later, denying Laborde twice in quick succession and made several saves either side of the half-time break, but could not prevent his team going further behind six minutes into the second half when Daniel Congré headed home a corner and when the former Toulouse defender then claimed a rare double, finishing from another Delort knockdown to make it three-nil on 63 minutes. Nice responded quickly, after coming off the bench, Amine Gouiri crosses the ball from the left that allowed Dante to reduce the deficit for the final 3-1.
Nice have started the season strongly, but this loss put a shadow on their efforts to be a top table. Patrick Vieira’s side won their opening two games before slipping to Montpellier. It was a disappointing display, regarding performance and the result, Nice wasn't good when had the ball, and very bad defensively. The match showed that there are still a lot of things to work on and improve for Vieira and his players, especially against a clinical and dangerous side that plays very well on both sides of the ball. Last season saw Paris Saint-Germain hammer Nice 1-4 at the Allianz Riviera, while the return game at the Parc Des Princes was canceled when the COVID-19 pandemic forced Ligue 1 stopped the campaign.
PSG was beaten by Lens and Marseille before picking up their first win over Metz Julian Draxler's injury-time winner ended Paris St-Germain's losing start to the Ligue 1 season against Metz - despite the absence of the suspended Neymar. Brasilian was among five players sent off following an injury-time fight against Marseille on Sunday. Reigning champions PSG had lost their opening two league games for the first time since 1984/85 and had not lost three league games in a row since 2010. Thomas Tuchel's side had Abdou Diallo sent off after 65 minutes at the Parc des Princes for a double yellow card, but German midfielder Draxler's 93rd-minute header claimed victory for the 10 men. With Diallo's dismissal, a second booking for pulling Ibrahima Niane's shirt PSG has now received four red cards in their last two Ligue 1 games, as many as in their previous 62 combined.
They welcomed back goalkeeper Keylor Navas, defender Marquinhos and striker Mauro Icardi after the trio were among seven players to test positive for coronavirus. Angel di Maria was a key player in the first win of the new season, created numerous opportunities for his team-mates, and was denied by Metz goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja at close range before eventually forcing Oukidja to parry his cross into Draxler's path at the final moments of the game. PSG - winners of seven of the past eight Ligue 1 titles - sit 15th after three matches, four points behind early leaders Rennes.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has many issues to deal with when it comes to personnel for this game. Kylian Mbappe should be ready to return following his bout with COVID-19, but Tuchel will not be able to call upon Neymar, Leandro Paredes, Layvin Kurzawa, or Abdou Diallo. All four were sent off in PSG’s recent games with Marseille and Metz and suspended.

Nice will try to exploit not so good start of the season by PSG but with Mbappe on the pitch there is only one favorite here and we are backing the visiting team to pick up the second victory in the new campaign.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
