Norwich host Watford at the Carrow Road (Norwich) in the 43rd round of the Championship and the match kicks off at 6 pm (UK) on Tuesday, April 20. Read our reasons for Norwich vs Watford prediction and betting tips.
Norwich ended their thirteen-matches unbeaten run after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth but have maintained a crucial 14-point gap to third-placed Swansea. Norwich are now guaranteed their fifth promotion to the Premier League since it began in 1992, with no club doing so more apart from West Brom, also with 5. Meanwhile, Watford suffered a setback in their quest for automatic promotion on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 1-0 by local rivals Luton at Kenilworth Road. The Hornets are looking over their shoulders and any nerves may be ruthlessly exploited here.
With just four games remaining in the season and a huge gap over third-placed Swansea, the Canaries have confirmed their return to the Premier League last weekend as Brentford and Swansea failed to pick up wins. Norwich have been outstanding in the Championship once again this season, sweeping all before them. They have an extremely talented squad for the division and will be hoping for a win against 2nd-placed Watford knowing it would be a symbolic win over their closest rivals and the best way to effectively secure the title.
The Canaries can be forgiven for being beaten by Bournemouth over the weekend after their return to the top flight was assured earlier in the day, especially as a 17th-minute red card for Dimitrios Giannoulis ruined what had been a bright start. Norwich would no doubt love to go up as Championship winners, though, and we expect them to be back fully focused for this clash with second-placed Watford.
As for the Hornets, James Collins’ penalty 12 minutes from time, after Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann had brought down Elijah Adebayo in the area, was enough to secure all three points for the hosts at Luton. However, with Swansea and Brentford, the two sides immediately behind them in the standings, only drawing, the Hornets remain in control of the second automatic promotion place, although they did miss a big opportunity to move a step closer to an immediate return to the Premier League here.
Ahead of the Luton game, Watford were dealt a bit of a blow when Adam Masina was withdrawn through illness. His replacement Achraf Lazaar made a big mistake in the build-up to the game's only goal, but Munoz did not want to use the late change to his team as an excuse. The Hornets’ next chance to recover from the loss comes on Tuesday evening in the shape of a trip to league leaders Norwich, in which a reaction will most certainly be needed.

Norwich meet Watford for the first time at Carrow Road since August 2014 and a 3-0 home win. Watford are looking to win four consecutive league games against Norwich for the first time and can also do a league double over the Canaries after celebrating a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture in December.
However, the Canaries would most certainly love to win the league again, though, and are expected to quickly get over the last weekend’s home defeat and bounce back in no time.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
