NOTTINGHAM VS SWANSEA MATCH ANALYSIS
Chris Hughton has drawn three and won three of his first eight league games in charge at Forest and lost only once (1-0 to Middlesbrough) before the international break. However, the break did not bring any positives for the Reds, as they lost both away games after the restart, which means that they have fallen down to 20th place with 12 points they picked up until week 11. As for Swansea, they have accumulated 23 points from their first 13 league fixtures which have been enough for the 4th place in the standings. They lost just twice this season - to Huddersfield at home (1-2) in the 5th round and at Norwich (1:0) before the break – but have bounced back when they returned, with a win against Rotherham at home (2-1) and a disappointing 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wed, also at home.
Despite their upturn in form upon Hughton’s appointment, Forest are still sitting in 20th place and will be very aware of how hard it will be to drag themselves away from the relegation zone. Notts Forest had two must-win games at home to fellow strugglers Coventry (2-1) and Wycombe (2-0) before the break, and in hindsight, it was important they got maximum points there as their next two games proved too tough. They lost 2-0 two Barnsley and Bournemouth on the road, and are looking for their third home league win ahead of Sunday’s match.
In the defeat against the Cherries in midweek, the in-form Bournemouth claimed a third straight win as Stanislas brace saw off Nottingham. The defeat was Forest's third straight away loss where they could not find the net. They will aim for a home win against the Swans, but in their current unbeaten four-game home run, they have faced fellow lower-half teams.
When it comes to Swansea, Steve Cooper has done brilliantly for them in his first managerial job despite limited resources and a small squad. They are where they want to be – in the play-offs contention – after picking up four points after the international break. Another positive for them is that Andre Ayew returned to the starting eleven, after missing the Rotherham game with the knock he picked up on Ghana duty.
Against the Owls in midweek, Steve Cooper’s men were held to a 1-1 draw as Tony Pulis claimed his first point as Owls manager. Wednesday were on course for victory after Adam Reach’s opener, but Swansea were much better in the second half and equalized thanks to a brilliant goal by their leading scorer Ayew. Swansea improved significantly in the second half, but the stubborn Pulis’ side held for a point.

Nottingham have only lost one of their last nine league games (W5 D3) against the visitors. However, the Reds have had trouble finding their best form in the early days of the campaign, and, consequently, they sit in the drop zone ahead of the Swansea game. Forest are desperate to move away from the bottom three, but this will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side, despite the fact that the Welshmen are winless in seven away league visits to the City Ground. Nevertheless, Andre Ayew found the net on his return to the squad, and Ghana international could prove a handful for Nottingham defenders.
Bettingkick’s prediction for Nottingham vs Swansea match is: Under 2.5 goals

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
