Parma is in desperate need of points when Bologna arrives on Sunday, but the visitors are hoping to avoid being dragged into the relegation mix.
Eljif Elmas’ solo effort and Matteo Politano’s deflected shot gave Napoli a 2-0 win against Parma on Sunday. A solo effort from Eljif Elmas separated the two sides at half-time, as Napoli were completely in control against Parma at the Diego Maradona. But Parma threatened to steal the show in the second half as Napoli sat back and invited the visitors back into the game before substitute Matteo Politano killed the game off with a heavy deflected finish.
The Gialloblu prepare for the home game after a busy transfer market but the match seems to come too soon for the latest arrival Graziano Pellè. Denis Man was introduced last time and could start against the Rossoblu, who are hoping to bounce back from two defeats to Juventus and Milan. Graziano Pellé is the former Italian international who moved to Parma from AZ Alkmaar in July 2011 but only played 14 games for the Gialloblu before moving on a permanent deal to Feyenoord in the summer of 2013. He spent a season on loan in Rotterdam before making his move permanent and had also a stint at Sampdoria during his last contract with the Crociati. His peak was at Southampton when he scored 23 goals in 68 games from 2014 – 2016. The 35-year-old, capped 20 times by Italy, was released from Shandong Luneng in January.

Bologna sits 15th in Serie A, seven points above the Crociati, who are 19th ahead of Serie A Week 21. Sinisa Mihajlovic claimed Bologna played better than Milan, who ‘created only on penalties and long balls. If we had Zlatan Ibrahimovic on our side, we’d win 3-0.’ The Rossoneri got the win 2-1 at the Stadio Dall’Ara thanks to two penalties, one converted by Franck Kessie, the only saved from Ibrahimovic, but Ante Rebic scoring on the rebound. “We created three or four chances and didn’t score. Donnarumma did well too, it was an undeserved defeat and I think we played better than Milan,” Mihajlovic told media.
Andrea Poli’s strike set up a frantic finale, with Gianluigi Donnarumma making decisive saves. “Fine, Milan is a better team, but we created our chances from open play. They scored from penalties and their only chances were long balls. If we had Ibra on our side, we would’ve won 3-0, but there you go. My players should be proud of their performance, they fought to the end, but as usual against stronger teams, we play well and don’t win. It’s a psychological issue now, we all have to work on the details, above all determination in front of goal.''
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Tomiyasu, Danilo, Soumaoro, Dijks; Schouten, Svanberg; Skov Olsen, Soriano, Sansone; Barrow
Suspended: none
Injured: Santander, Medel

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
