Leaders Inter is on a roll, but visit a Parma side without a win since November 30, who already held Antonio Conte’s men to a 2-2 draw this season. Read our reasons for Parma vs Inter prediction and betting tips.
Parma is coming off back-to-back 2-2 draws with Spezia and Udinese, having been 2-0 up in both situations. They held Inter 2-2 at San Siro, again conceding a late equalizer, back in October as well, but Roberto D’Aversa has a serious striker shortage and ‘regrets’ after Parma dropped another 2-0 lead for their draw with Spezia. ‘We deserved something more.’ For the second week running, the Ducali fumbled a 2-0 lead for a 2-2 draw, extending their winless streak to 15 rounds. “We would’ve certainly been in a better position than we are now. These are regrets, because both against Udinese and Spezia, I feel we deserved something more,” the coach told media. “The performances were superior to the opposition, yet we only bring home a point. The goals were emblematic, as we made them a bit too easy for the opponents. In the long run, every point will weigh heavily in the race to stay in Serie A. It’s about our approach to the game because, after the equalizer, we did push forward and had the best chances to win it again. We had prepared to create the spaces we could then take advantage of once we won back the ball. When we conceded the first goal, it wasn’t because we were sitting deep, it was an error and we cannot afford to let these goals go in.''
Parma already had a huge injury crisis, then Andreas Cornelius pulled out in the warm-up. “He felt a twice during the warm-up. Unfortunately, a lot of injuries all occur in the same area of the team. Karamoh was hurt and asked to come off, otherwise, I’d have been crazy to substitute him!” D’Aversa parted company with Parma at the end of last season but came back after a dismal run under Fabio Liverani. “I thought about the work I’d done here for four years and the only reason I returned was I want Parma to stay in Serie A and protect the work I did here in that time.”
Parma (4-3-3): Sepe; Busi, Osorio, Valenti, Pezzella; Hernani, Brugman, Kurtic; Kucka, Karamoh, Mihaila
Suspended: None
Injured: Gervinho, Zirkzee, Cornelius, Nicolussi Caviglia
The Nerazzurri seem unstoppable at the moment with six wins in their last seven Serie A games, conceding just one goal during that period and scoring 17. There’s a four-point lead at the top of the table and no real injury concerns to speak of, while this is the time when not having European commitments could pay off. Antonio Conte saw Inter’s current leadership as a continuation of the work he began last season, which was already an enormous step forward for the club. ‘It has been many years since Inter won.’
The Nerazzurri broke through within 32 seconds against Genoa thanks to Romelu Lukaku but had to wait until much later to make the dominance count with Matteo Darmian and Alexis Sanchez. This victory allowed them to go 10 points clear of Juventus and seven points away from Milan, although both have a game in hand. “We played against a Genoa side in great shape who I think had earned just one fewer point than we did in this period. We had the right approach, allowing Genoa little other than a few crosses. We scored three goals, Mattia Perin had to make several big saves, so we are happy. All the work is paying off, it had already started last year, but the team is developing belief in its capabilities, understanding the situations both on and off the ball, when to be aggressive, when to hold possession. We know there are 14 games to go. As I said, facing Genoa and Parma seems easy on paper, but we have to prove that we are a team who always have our ears pricked for danger, not just in the big games, so we can give the Inter fans the joy they deserve.”
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Eriksen, Perisic; Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
Suspended: None
Injured: Sensi

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
