Lazio is looking for their seventh straight win against Parma when they visit the Ennio Tardini, where Roberto D’Aversa has returned to the dugout.
Parma sacked Fabio Liverani this week and D’Aversa, who parted ways with the Crociati last summer, has returned to the club. But the returning coach faces a tough challenge against Simone Inzaghi’s men, who have only lost once in their 11 last trips to Parma. D’Aversa, who first took over in December 2016 and lifted Parma from Serie C to the top tier, left the club last summer due to different views on how to progress. He has now returned, as former Lecce coach Fabio Liverani’s successor, with Parma at 18th in Serie A after 16 games.
Parma was in real crisis even before their 3-0 loss against Atalanta. The absentee list was lengthy, including Gervinho, Alberto Grassi, Juraj Kucka, Simone Iacoponi, Yordan Osorio, and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. Yann Karamoh joined them within 10 minutes and Riccardo Gagliolo midway through the first half. It took La Dea 15 minutes to find a breakthrough, as Josip Ilicic won a tackle in midfield and immediately found the inspired through ball. Luis Muriel controlled with his right foot and scored with his left. It was the Colombian’s fourth consecutive Serie A game on target, a new personal best. Duvan Zapata replaced Muriel for the second half and scored within three minutes, meeting another Ilicic assist to shrug off defenders and drill beneath the goalkeeper from eight yards. There was also an assist for Duvan Zapata, whose flick took a deflection off Hernani, allowing Robin Gosens to burst through the middle and blast in.
Parma (4-3-1-2): Sepe; Busi, Osorio, Bruno Alves, Pezzella; Hernani, Brugman, Kurtic; Brunetta; Gervinho, Inglese
Suspended: none
Injured: Grassi, Kucka, Iacoponi, Nicolussi, Gagliolo, Karamoh
Biancocelesti are struggling to find their rhythm this term and have only picked up two points from their three last away games in the League. They won 2-1 vs Fiorentina in a match where they made the most of their scoring opportunities to get Felipe Caicedo and Ciro Immobile goals. It was the ideal opening for Lazio, as within six minutes Manuel Lazzari had knocked down a Francesco Acerbi cross from the left for Felipe Caicedo’s volley from six yards. Lazio doubled their lead when a corner was flicked on by Acerbi for Immobile’s volley at the back post into the roof of the net. The Viola were gifted a late goal, from Strakosha’s pass straight to Jose Callejon and Wesley Hoedt pulling down Vlahovic by the jersey for a penalty, converted by Vlahovic. Strakosha had to smother the Sofyan Amrabat daisy-cutter in stoppages, but it was too little, too late for the Tuscans.
Lazio (3-5-2): Reina, Luiz Felipe, Acerbi, Radu; Lazzari, Luis Alberto, Leiva, Milinkovic, Marusic; Immobile, Caicedo
Suspended: none
Injured: Lulic, Fares, Correa

Parma has the worst attack in the top tier with only 13 goals from their 16 first games. Lazio must be the favorite to get a very important away win.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
