It is time for final preparations before EURO, Poland and Russia will try to measure their form in a very interesting friendly game. Read our Poland vs Russia prediction and betting tips.
Poland - Form and Team News
The surprise appointment of Paulo Sousa before the World Cup qualifiers in March is the result of heavy media pressure on the football association to achieve something more in the next EURO. They have a reasonable approach because the likes of Robert Lewandowski will not be around for many years and the best striker in the world and a player that won everything with Bayern will need an extra push from teammates and coaching staff. For the Poles, it will be the fourth consecutive appearance in the European Championships the surprise omission of Krzysztof Piatek from the final Euro squad and is to see if Sousa style could be implemented in a short period. It is likely to evolve Poland to a more passing and ball possession from which they will try to create chances and plays to the strengths of their star man Lewandowski.
It is a first friendly game for both teams so it is very difficult to predict what managers are trying to see and feel from this match. Many new players are available to prove a point and their spot for the final roster and on the other side some game mechanics for the tournament must be trained already. Poland has a new manager at is believable that he is not settled and didn't have enough time to evaluate all players. Lewandowski may be given the 45 minutes in the Poland attack, but the legendary forward will almost certainly not play the full 90 minutes. Mateusz Klich could start after being rested for Leeds United's closing Premier League matches, taking the place of Napoli's Piotr Zielinski who has featured in 47 matches for Napoli this season.
Poland - Possible Lineups (3-5-2)

Russia - Form and Team News
Russia changed its style with its new manager, and from 2018, the evolution of Stanislav Cherchesov’s Russia has made some easy-to-see transformations. They are more likable and easier to watch, their youth players have enough flair and creativity and they are attractive to play against because you know, there will no be defensive walls or midfield block. Their 2-1 win over Slovenia in Sochi in March was an example of that fairly entertaining style. They lack consistency in performances and results but they are far from their traditional football which was based on defense. Russia in the next game lost 2-1 to Slovakia in the group stage of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Goals from Inter Milan center-back Milan Skriniar and Ferencvaros forward Robert Mak sealed the deal for Slovakia. CSKA Moscow right-back Mario Fernandes scored the sole goal for Russia.
Russia has named a preliminary 30-man squad and as expected, experienced Zenit Saint Petersburg left-back Yuri Zhirkov, Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, Atalanta attacking midfielder Aleksei Miranchuk and Zenit Saint Petersburg striker Artem Dzyuba have all been named. There could be potential debuts for the Rubin Kazan trio of Yury Dyupin, Ilya Samoshnikov, and Denis Makarov, as well as Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.
Russia - Possible Lineups (3-5-2)
Andrey Lunyov, Igor Diveyev, Georgi Dzhikiya, Roman Yevgenyev, Mario Fernandes, Daniil Fomin, Magomed Ozdoyev, Aleksandr Golovin, Denis Cheryshev, Aleksei Miranchuk, Anton Zabolotny

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
