Queens Park Rangers and Nottingham Forest start their respective 20/21 campaigns on Saturday, 12 September at Loftus Road (London) and the game kicks off at 3pm (UK).
QPR head into the new campaign after finishing in 13th place in the table last year. the season was in most parts positive since they have achieved their best finish in four seasons. They had a hectic transfer window last year and they have been busy this year around as well. Some key players have left while their replacements are, at least on paper, not of the same caliber.
Forest have suffered a really heartbreaking end to the last season as they lost their play-off spot in a most unfortunate downturn, when their loss to Stoke (1:4) helped Swansea overturn a five-goal swing and reach the play-offs trough goal difference. Will they recover and be ready for another charge at play-offs is what remains to be seen.
QPR VS FOREST MATCH ANALYSIS
Having scored 67 goals in the last season's campaign, Mark Warburton's side was hugely entertaining to watch. Only four teams had a better scoring record. However, it must be said that 40 of those goals were scored by Eberechi Eze, Jordan Hugill and Nahki Wells, who have all left the club this summer. Also, with 76 goals against them, it must be said they conceded far too many as well and they will need to address those issues on both sides of the pitch.
The new forward, Lyndon Dykes has shown promising signs in this pre-season, but it still remains to be seen if he can lead the attack in this campaign. The reality is that big transfer fees are thing in the past for QPR and they have been buying on the cheap side lately, mostly youngsters, in hope of developing them and selling them for a profit later. They are turning into a selling club and the lack of stability may come back to haunt them rather sooner than later.
After last year's heartbreak, it will be interesting to see if Forest can get to the play-offs this time around. Manager, Sabri Lamouchi could be the key man as he seems to have connected with the squad and created a tight-knit group of players who will be eager to prove that they have what it takes to get it done. Player to watch will be Lewis Grabban who netted 20 times last season.
The Reds really needed more players to lift them last season, so it's significant that they have signed a few fresh and some familiar names such as Lyle Taylor, Jack Colback and Luke Freeman, to improve the squad. However, the most important thing will be to stick with their manager even in case of a bad start as they wouldn't want to go through the rebuilding process again.

Last season's three games unbeaten run was ended for QPR with a loss in the EFL Cup, which makes it three consecutive home losses. Not scoring a single goal in last season's fixtures against their Saturday's opponents is another wrong they could right this time.
Forest have won just one of their last nine away games, but have still managed to score in all bar one of the last ten trips. Furthermore, they have scored first last three times here and kept two clean sheets in the process.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
