QPR VS STOKE MATCH ANALYSIS
QPR could have moved into the top half of the table with a good result against Brentford on matchday 14, but the Bees won 2-1, and QPR instead went on to lose three out of four matches (D1) – against Bristol (1-2), Huddersfield (2-0), and lastly Reading (0-1). In between defeats, they drew against Millwall, also at home (1-1). With a five-game run without a victory, they remain in 19th place with 18 points. As for Stoke, the Potters head into this match sitting in the 8th place in the standings with 29 points and have done well despite missing key players. The Potters are set to visit London for their latest EFL league game, on the back of a 0-0 away draw against Derby on Saturday.
If there was one thing that QPR provided last season, it was entertainment. The west Londoners scored 67 goals in last season's Championship campaign - a figure beaten only by Leeds, West Brom, Brentford, and Cardiff. However, 40 of these goals came from Eberechi Eze, Jordan Hugill, and Nahki Wells, all of whom now play their football elsewhere. They are still fun to watch, but this campaign has proven so far that they will struggle without those three, which was evident again in their most recent league defeat against play-off contenders Reading (0-1).
QPR's joint top goal scorer Ilias Chair was a lively presence but couldn't add to his five league goals this season. Instead, Michael Olise celebrated his 19th birthday with a spectacular winner to give Reading a late win over the Hoops. Also, worryingly for the Rangers, Osayi-Samuel picked up an injury. QPR are now with just one win in their past eight matches - a run which has included five defeats - but they were at least able to welcome back their supporters for the first time since February.
Their Saturday’s opponents Stoke City have a fair share of injury concerns to deal with. Veteran striker Lee Gregory, former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, centre-back Harry Souttar, Scotland international Steven Fletcher, midfielder Jordan Thompson, goalkeepers Angus Gunn and Adam Davies, and Wales international Joe Allen are all out due to injuries. Despite missing important players, Michael O'Neill's side has enjoyed some good performances, and the Potters are well-positioned to be in contention for the promotion spots. However, they were not up to the task against reinvigorated Rams.
Stoke, who were again without a number of key players, created little and did not force David Marshall into a save in the 90 minutes, and only a fine performance from Bursik helped Stoke secure a point. With this point, Stoke stay in eighth and are now two points outside the play-off places. Michael O'Neill was pleased overall, especially with another clean sheet, and the improved performance in the second half.

These two sides have met 16 times so far and both teams enter Tuesday’s clash with 6 head-to-head wins under their belt.
However, the hosts are unbeaten against the Potters in their last four games (W2, D2) and had done a double over the visitors last season.
QPR are without a win in their last five Championship matches (D1, L4) and have failed to score more than once in all of those games.
Stoke, on the other hand, can count on Harry Souttar, Fletcher, and Thompson as they came back into the team on Saturday, but are still not fully fit, having trained very little after their injuries.
The Potters will be aiming for maximum points, but both sides have been struggling with scoring lately.
BettingKick’s prediction for the QPR vs Stoke match is: Under 2.5 goals
