READING VS NORWICH MATCH ANALYSIS
The Royals were the only Championship side without a defeat in the league alongside Bournemouth until the 9th round (W7-D1), but then they suffered four defeats on the trot. Since then, they found solidity with two draws and a win but were back at square one after a home defeat to Birmingham (1-2). They bounced back again with a minimal win at QPR, after which they remain 5th in the table with 33 points, ahead of the league leaders visit. As for Norwich, they continue to struggle with injuries, but the Canaries are doing alright on the field nevertheless. The East Anglian side is leading the title race after their third 2-1 win on the trot against Blackburn at the weekend and have now lost just one of their last 14 league games. They top the table with 37 points, four points above their hosts in midweek.
Reading fell to 6th place after losing four matches on the trot, but have remained in the play-off contention after they managed to consolidate a bit. After conceding only twice in the first seven matches, they have shipped 20 in their last eleven. Could it be that the Royals have finally found the elusive X-factor from the previous seasons only to lose it irreparably so soon? Their identity is still forging, and with the latest win, it looks like they have taken a few steps forward again.
On Saturday, Reading struggled to carve out clear chances against a struggling QPR side but were bailed out by teenage star Michael Olise, who won the game with a spectacular late strike from distance. The game looked destined to end goalless until the second-half substitute struck a left-footed shot past Seny Dieng in the 89th minute, which means the Royals have lost just one of their last six league games.
Championship leaders Norwich, on the other hand, are safe at top of the table for the time being after a hard-fought win against the Rovers. It is really crowded in the top half of the table, and if they had lost against Blackburn, they would have vacated the pole position and possibly fallen down the standings to as low as fifth. Another positive Norwich can take from the weekend game was that no further players have been added to the club’s extensive injury list.
Teemu Pukki scored twice as Norwich maintained their impressive recent form and remained top of the Championship with a win at Ewood Park. The away side have six confirmed absentees for the trip to Berkshire, but Norwich’s injury list is getting shorter week by week. The Canaries weren't at their best at the weekend, but Daniel Farke's men have now won three league games in a row and will be confident they can get something from their match against Reading.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
