Only a miracle would see SPAL make survive relegation of this 2019/2020 Seria A campaign three years after earning a return back to the top tier of Italian football.
They need straight-four wins from the next four matches, include this one against Roma on the home soil. Given that they have won five matches in their first 33 matches, it is almost a certainty that they will drop down a division in the coming days. As of last on the table of Seria A, with just 19 points, the question is do they really deserve, even if by some miracle they win all games ahead of them. The worst record of any side in Europe's top five leagues this season. Indeed, only Norwich City (0.4) and Dijon (0.5) have scored fewer goals per game than SPAL (0.6) away from home this season in their respective leagues.
Simone Missiroli and Georgi Tunjov are also in contention to start after being left out in some of the previous matches because of the injury, but Etrit Berisha will play no part due to injury.
Same as SPAL, but with different destiny only a miracle would see Roma make the top four before the end of the 2019-20 campaign, but Paulo Fonseca's side are currently fifth in the table as they bid to secure a return to European football. Roma did not finish outside of the top three in Serie A between 2013 and 2018 but ended last season in sixth, meaning that fifth would be an improvement, even if they are still some way off a return to the Champions League. The Yellow and Reds have actually lost 10 of their 33 league matches this season, but they have won each of their last three in Italy's top flight to open up a two-point advantage over sixth-placed Napoli.
Roma will again be without the services of Federico Fazio, Antonio Mirante, Chris Smalling and Juan Jesus through injury, while Davide Santon is again likely to miss out with a muscular problem.

Roma have a winning streak of 3 matches, so it is hard to believe they will stop this streak against SPAL. When we take into consideration that Spal have played 9 home matches in a row without winning, it is pretty clear we are predicting Roma win over SPAL.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
