Sampdoria needs 16 more points to reach their target, but Napoli is still in the race to qualify for the Champions League. Read our reasons for Sampdoria vs Napoli prediction and betting tips.
Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri targets 52 points for the Blucerchiati, as he prepares for another ‘prestigious’ game against Napoli this weekend. The Blucerchiati are unbeaten in their last two games, including holding second-placed Milan to a 1-1 draw in the last round. But Ranieri expects a similar test when the Partenopei arrives at the Marassi on Sunday. “Napoli is another prestigious opponent,” Ranieri told the club’s official channel. “Milan was trying to enter the Champions League or even put pressure on Inter. “Napoli are trying to enter the Champions League too. They’re a team we know and what impact force they have. We must play a great match. “They are the ones who have immense quality in so many players. [Victor] Osimhen, [Dries] Mertens, [Matteo] Politano or [Lorenzo] Insigne. They are all fine now, they have all recovered. I’m sure they will play a top-quality run-in.”
Ranieri said he expects a ‘determined and angry’ Napoli, who arrives from a 2-1 defeat to Juventus on Wednesday. “I expect a similar Napoli,” he said. “I expect a Napoli like in the last 20 minutes against Juve, with that determination and anger. “Not that it wasn’t there before, but it was a great match in the end. Both teams have given birth to the football I like. “There are three points up for grabs. I want the best in every game. I respect all the opponents; I don’t care who I’m going to face because on that day it may be that they are not at 100 percent.”

Napoli continues their media silence, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis broke his silence on Twitter after the 2-1 defeat to Juventus. The Partenopei were beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala's goals, despite a late Lorenzo Insigne penalty in the rescheduled Week 3 fixture. The club is still refusing to let any of its players or staff speak to the press. However, President De Laurentiis released this comment on social media. “Well done lads. We leave with heads held high and above all, I enjoyed myself to the end… Well done everyone!” This was a head-to-head for fourth place, so now Juventus are third on 59 points, Atalanta fourth with 58, and Napoli fifth on 56. Lazio is in sixth place on 52 points, but they also have a game in hand before this round.
Paulo Dybala made a spectacular comeback for Juventus, his left-foot curler securing the victory over Napoli after a Cristiano Ronaldo opener. La Joya has been largely absent this season through injuries, illness, and disciplinary reasons, but he came off the bench to fire in the winner at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in this rescheduled Week 3 fixture. Ronaldo had earlier missed a sitter but made up for it with the opening goal set up by Federico Chiesa’s wonderful run. Napoli forced several saves from veteran goalkeeper Gigi Buffon before Lorenzo Insigne got one back from the spot.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
