Sheffield Utd host Chelsea at the Bramall Lane (Sheffield) in the 23rd round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 7.15 pm (UK) on Sunday, February 7.
SHEFFIELD UTD VS CHELSEA MATCH ANALYSIS
The hosts come into this match on the back of the three wins in four – a 2-1 win in the FA Cup Round 4 against Plymouth, a shocking 2-1 win at Man Utd, and a 2-1 win against fellows relegation candidates West Brom. They also suffered an expected 1-0 defeat at the Etihad on Saturday in this run. Somewhat surprisingly, Sheffield Utd have a marginally better overall record than Chelsea with their 9 wins to visitors’ 8 in their last 20 meetings. Moreover, the Blades have won three of their four home top-flight matches against Chelsea (L1), winning 3-0 last season here, but losing their most recent match – a reverse fixture in November at Stamford Bridge (4-1).
Wilder still has an almighty task on his hands to save his side from the drop, but their mission of avoiding relegation no longer seems the impossible task it did just a few weeks ago.
