On Monday 20 July, Sheffield United welcome Everton at the Bramall Lane, and the kick off is at 6pm (UK).
After their defeat against Leicester (2:0) in midweek, Sheffield United now need maximum six points in their last two games against Everton (H) and Southampton (A) to have the slightest of chances to qualify for the Europa League. It was a flat performance against the Foxes, certainly not on their usual competitive level, which left Sheffield's manager Chris Wilder fuming after the match. They would have to leave that game behind and focus fully on what's ahead in this next game against Everton.
Everton's season is definitely over, with them safe from relegation, but also unlikely to ge into the top ten. A result that would not flatter the manager of Carlo Ancelotti's reputation. They showed the same weaknesses against struggling Aston Villa at home on Monday, in an uninspiring draw (1:1). They have now drawn two and lost another two games in their last four fixtures (D,L,D,L), leaving too much to be desired, as they wait for this season to finish.
SHEFFIELD VS EVERTON MATCH ANALYSIS
Not only do the Blades need maximum points out of their remaining games, but they also need one of the Wolves or the Spurs to slip up in the process. Nevertheless, it was a remarkable season for Sheffield United, after twelve years in lower ranks. They amassed ten points from their last four games, and after beating the three teams above them (Chelsea, Wolves and Tottenham), they found the Foxes a more compelling challenge.
Their home form is excellent with seven victories in their last ten games in all competitions (W7,D1,L2), and they will look for the opportunity to bounce back against Everton. We should expect an immediate reaction from Chris Wilder, and John Fleck, John Lundstram and Lyss Mouset should be back in contention for this match, after being left on the bench on Thursday.
Everton are in much more serious trouble than it seems. After appointing a world class manager and paying over the odds for under-performing players, the owners will certainly have to break the bank again this summer. With their plans for a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium as well, it may just be too much to ask for.
Their match against Aston Villa in midweek, was symptomatic of their whole season - timid, uninspiring, and showing only flashes of improvement. The Toffees' away form is apalling with 89 % rate of losses against teams above them and 62.5 % rate in all of their road trips.

The Blades will try to bounce back from a hurting defeat against Leicester, and to try to keep their European hopes alive, while trying to improve the attacking performance. They have a fine record at home, and Everton are, on the other hand, shambolic away from home this season. Their leaky defence will have a daunting task on Monday, and maybe not to concede will be their first and foremost task.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
