In Tuesday's UEFA Nations League Group A4 decider between Spain and Germany at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, we will see two elite national teams in the quest for first place in the group.
Spain national coach Luis Enrique is not shy to use Nations League as a training ground for something he sees as a more important competition, next year's EURO. He reshaped the team and used many youngsters, trying to build a new competitive group with good chemistry. Ex Dinamo Zagreb player and now one of the brightest talents of the RB Leipzig Dani Olmo has made a good start to his first full season of Bundesliga football, with four assists in seven league appearances in the early part of 2020/21, and he could see some familiar faces on Tuesday evening. The 22-year-old playmaker was a second-half substitute in Spain's 1-1 friendly draw with the Netherlands but earned his seventh international cap as a starter against Switzerland on Saturday. Olmo has one goal and an assist to show for his first seven appearances for Spain.
Despite his best efforts, the contest finished one apiece after Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer saved not one but two Sergio Ramos penalties to leave Luis Enrique's charges second in the section and needing to beat group leaders Germany to reach the four-team final tournament. Olmo faces competition from Real Madrid's Marco Asensio in the attack, while Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata are vying for recalls. Former Bayern midfielder Thiago Alcantara has not been included in the November roster due to injury. Spain has conceded the first goal in six of their previous nine Nations League matches.
Spain: De Gea - Bellerin, Ramos (c), P. Torres, Gaya - Merino, Busquets - Oyarzabal, Torres, Asensio - Morata
In squad: Simon, Kepa, Roberto, Reguillon, Martinez, Canales, Morata, Koke, Moreno, Bellerin, Traore, Ruiz, Olmo, Garcia, Cucurella, Rodri

Coach: Luis Enrique
Manuel Neuer was one of five Bayern players back in the mix for Germany in their meeting with Ukraine at the weekend. Defender Niklas Süle, midfielder Leon Goretzka and forwards Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane also started, having missed the 1-0 friendly win over the Czech Republic. Goretzka produced two assists, including one for Sane, as Germany ran out 3-1 winner to put their fate in their own hands. Sane's strike against Ukraine was his fifth goal in 23 senior international appearances.
As long as Joachim Löw's side avoid defeat - the reverse fixture ended 1-1 - they will join defending world champions France in next year's finals. Germany is currently on a 12-game unbeaten run stretching back to September 2019. Given the high stakes, Löw is expected to recall influential midfielder Toni Kroos following a one-match ban. Neuer is set to win his 95th cap. Of the current squad, only Kroos has more (100). Former Freiburg defensive specialist Robin Koch impressed in a holding role last time out but could revert to central defense in place of the suspended Antonio Rüdiger. Bayern's Joshua Kimmich will watch proceedings from afar, after recently undergoing knee surgery.
Germany: Neuer (c) - Ginter, Süle, Koch, Max - Gündogan, Kroos, Goretzka - Gnabry, Sane - Werner
In squad: Leno, Trapp, Uduokhai, Tah, Neuhaus, Amiri, Henrichs, Stark, Dahoud, Brandt, Waldschmidt
Out: Baumann (not included), Draxler (not included), Gosens (calf), Halstenberg (groin), Hofmann (thigh), Kehrer (knock), Kimmich (knee), Klostermann (knee), Rüdiger (suspended), Schulz (calf)
Coach: Joachim Löw

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
