Spain meet Poland at the Estadio de La Cartuja (Sevilla) in the EURO 2020 Group E Round 2 match and the game kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Saturday, June 19. Read our reason for Spain vs Poland prediction and betting tips.
KEEP FAITH WITH LA ROJA IN SEVILLE
Spain and Poland meet on Saturday night in Seville with both desperate to improve on disappointing opening day performances. The hosts failed to breach the Swedish defence despite 75 per cent of possession and they had to settle for a goalless draw. And the Poles slumped to a shock defeat to Slovakia with Grzegorz Krychowiak becoming the first player to be sent off in the tournament. So it's high stakes for both nations especially with group outsiders Slovakia topping the group table with three points. It's a game neither nation dare lose and it will be interesting to see how both sides approach it.
SPAIN TO KEEP A 100% RECORD AGAINST THE POLES
Spain return to the Estadio Olímpico de Sevilla after a goalless Euro 2020 opener against Sweden, which saw them claim 85.1% of the possession - the largest ever such figure in a single major tournament. In turn, Luis Enrique’s men made it two scoring blanks in three fixtures, the same amount they’d suffered in their previous 51 matches!
Despite their perceived ‘false start’, Spain are unbeaten in 14 internationals on home soil, returning an impressive 2.93 goals per fixture on average and taking 11 clean sheets. Furthermore, they haven’t failed to score in back-to-back fixtures since the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, and boast an excellent head to head record againat Poland (W8, D1, L1).
TIP #1: Gerard Moreno looked lively when coming off the bench, so we’re hoping the Villarreal striker will be handed a start this time. Looking at the Spain vs Poland odds, his record of 5 goals in 12 international appearances makes it a good bet for him to score at any time.
POLES AIMING TO CAUSE AN UPSET
Poland have developed a nasty habit of disappointing at major tournaments and now face another uphill battle to advance after going down 2-1 to Slovakia. Poland looked like they had turned it around against Slovakia after Karol Linetty equalised, but the sending off of Krychowiak cost them the game really – it put the Eagles back under pressure and Milan Skriniar’s clinical finish settled the issue.
Poland were one of the most impressive teams during qualifying and arrived in great form in competitive action. They appreciate the size of the task ahead of them against Spain, but the European Championships are famous for throwing up some shock results, and Poland is responsible for contributing their fair share. If they were to defeat Spain in this group match, it certainly wouldn’t be the biggest upset international football has ever seen.
TIP #2: However, star striker Robert Lewandowski put in a lacklustre display and it is hard to see Poland recovering from that setback. Let’s add La Roja to win 2-0 to our Spain vs Poland betting tips.

Spain let favourite backers down when drawing with Sweden but did enough in general play to make them worth sticking with versus Poland. The Eagles have it all to do in Euro 2020 Group E after suffering a surprise loss to Slovakia and look there for the taking in Seville. Surely Spain can't be as wasteful as they were against the Swedes. With that in mind, Spain to win and over 2.5 goals looks a solid shout.
Final BettingKick’s Spain vs Poland prediction is: Over 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
