2 - 2
Spezia is looking for their first home win as Fiorentina aim to bounce back from back-to-back defeats when they travel to the Stadio Dino Manuzzi in Cesena.
Spezia started the season with a heavy 4-1 defeat against Sassuolo but quickly managed to get back on their feet against Udinese in the second round of fixtures. A 3-0 loss to Milan at San Siro before the international break, leaves the newly-promoted side at 15th in Serie A with three points from three games. Milan took a while to break down Spezia, who lost Andrey Galabinov the only player who has ever scored for them in Serie A in the opening minutes of the game. That ruined their plan but they had a huge chance just before the break, Daniele Verde on the counter forcing Donnarumma to parry at the near top corner. Milan was the better team and missed several chances but introducing Hakan Calhanoglu for the second half made a difference.
The Turkey international set up Brahim Diaz to fire wide from the edge of the box, then his wonderful free-kick was whipped to the back post for Leao to turn in from four yards, opening the scoring. Kevin Agudelo came off the bench and forced Donnarumma to fingertip his strike from under the bar for the equalizer but Milan doubled their lead with Theo Hernandez, who pressed Agudelo into losing the ball in midfield, sprinted forward and thumped his low drive into the far bottom corner. There was a third moments later. Franck Kessie nodded down the Saelemaekers cross and Leao tapped in from six yards.

Fiorentina is in a similar situation to Spezia as Beppe Iachini’s men followed a 1-0 win against Torino in the opening game with an inspiring performance against last season’s runners-up Inter. Having lost 4-3 to the Nerazzurri, Sampdoria pushed through a 2-1 win at the Artemio Franchi and left the Viola with a poor return from the three first games.
Fiorentina started the match dominating possession but lacked the little extra to cut through, and when they did, Kouame wasted a massive opportunity. Five minutes before half-time, Federico Ceccherini pulled down Fabio Quagliarella in the box and the veteran made no mistakes from the penalty spot. In the second half, both sides came close, but it was Vlahovic who found the back of the net. Milenkovic’s attempt was deflected and found its way to the Serbian’s feet six yards from the line.
When Fiorentina pushed for a late winner, it was at the other end it happened for Sampdoria, as goalkeeper Emil Audero found Verre with a ball over the top. The former Hellas Verona player did everything right, a perfect touch, and a naughty chip sent the Blucerchiati in the lead. Federico Chiesa was close at the end when the last shot of the match and his career in Fiorentina shirt went off the post.
Chiesa moved to Juventus before joining the national camp and has left a big void in the squad. Franck Ribery, on the other hand, has started the season in the best possible way and captain German Pezzella should be back in defense.
Fiorentina (3-5-2):Dragowski; Milenkovic, Pezzella, Caceres; Lirola, Bonaventura, Amrabat, Castrovilli, Biraghi; Ribery, Kouame

Injured: Pulgar

Both teams will have trouble to score, Spezia lost their best striker, Fiorentina lost their best player and under 2.5 is surely the most reasonable bet for this game. The draw could be a value bet here.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
