Juventus are without a win in the last two Serie A games while Spezia is two points clear of the relegation zone ahead of their meeting at the Dino Manuzzi on Sunday.
Spezia played a very good game but left the Stadio Tardini very frustrated, as they were leading 2-0, hit the woodwork three times, but was denied by a stoppage-time penalty vs Parma. Spezia was missing Andrej Galabinov, Jeroen Zoet, Federico Mattiello, Riccardo Marchizza, and Juan Ramos, as well as Martin Erlic, a late addition to the COVID-19 list. They started on a high note, Emmanuel Gyasi immediately forced a save out of Luigi Sepe in the first minute but took the lead when a Simone Bastoni corner found Julian Chabot for what was practically a free header from nine yards to beat Sepe. Moments later, Spezia doubled their advantage, as Mbala Nzola laid it off with his back to goal for Kevin Agudelo to blast into the roof of the net from the edge of the area with his left foot.
Parma hit back immediately in a wide-open match, as a free-kick found Jasmin Kurtic’s header for an Ivan Provedel save and Riccardo Gagliolo was quickest to react on the rebound from close range.
Spezia had the better chances, Inter youth product Lucien Agoume thumping the upright on the counter-attack, then Gyasi came sliding in just a second too late to meet the Daniele Verde ball across the six-yard box. Incredibly, Spezia hit the frame of the goal for the third time when Verde’s scorcher bounced off the base of the upright with Sepe rooted to the spot. Deep into stoppages, Parma was awarded a soft penalty for a Claudio Terzi challenge on Andreas Cornelius. Juraj Kucka converted to snatch a point for the hosts.
Riccardo Marchizza and Giulio Maggiore have recovered from Covid but Vincenzo Italiano has seven injured players on the sidelines plus Martin Erlic who is positive for Coronavirus.
Spezia is unbeaten in their only games with Juventus in Serie B: one win and one draw.

Juventus have recovered Cristiano Ronaldo who has tested negative for Covid but the Portuguese star may start from the bench against the newly-promoted side. Giorgio Chiellini is also available to play, Matthijs de Ligt is in doubt and Alex Sandro is still out of action with an injury.
Juventus were unlucky in their 2-0 home defeat to Barcelona, as following the Ousmane Dembele opener, Alvaro Morata had three goals ruled offside, Merih Demiral saw red and Lionel Messi converted a penalty. The Bianconeri were forced into changes, as Cristiano Ronaldo was still testing positive for COVID-19, with Giorgio Chiellini, Matthijs de Ligt and Alex Sandro injured. Leonardo Bonucci passed a last-minute fitness test to start, with ex-Barca midfielder Arthur on the bench.
Barca came tearing out the gate with three chances in the first two minutes. Leo Messi’s effort was charged down by Bonucci, then on the corner Wojciech Szczesny parried a Miralem Pjanic strike and Antoine Griezmann’s follow-up thumped the inside of the post.
The Blaugrana did break the deadlock when Ousmane Dembele twisted and turned on the edge of the area, his shot eventually taking a deflection off Federico Chiesa to loop over Szczesny into the net. Juventus ended the match with 10 men, as Merih Demiral received his second yellow card in the closing stages. Federico Bernardeschi completed the dismal night by clattering into the back of Ansu Fati for an entirely avoidable penalty, which Messi converted into the top corner.
Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Demiral, Chiellini; Chiesa, Rabiot, Arthur, Frabotta; Ramsey, Dybala, Morata
Suspended:
Injured: Alex Sandro

Juventus had a week to forget after a draw with Verona and a loss vs Barcelona. Andrea Pirlo had problems with injuries, suspensions, and coronavirus but there are alarms already and he must win the next match to ease the pressure, so an away win is the preferable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
