STOKE VS HUDDERSFIELD MATCH ANALYSIS
Stoke head into this match sitting in the 8th place with 18 points after winning their fifth game of the season away at leaders Reading (0-3) before the international break. They have now won three and lost two in their last five matches, and have not repeated the same result twice in the row since the league started. They could do with more consistency and will look for their first back-to-back wins against the Terriers. As for Huddersfield, the visitors are 13th in the standings with 14 points from their four wins and two draws so far, the last of which came against Luton at home (1-1) before the break. They have a decent away record (W2-D1-L2) and will not be easy prey for the Potters who have a similar record at home (W2-D2-L1).
Stoke’s results have been strangely hectic this season as they are yet to follow up one Championship result with a repeat in their next game at any point in this league campaign (W5, D3, L3). Following that logic, they should take at least a point from the Terriers after a fantastic win at Reading, following their disappointing defeat at Watford (3-2) in the previous round.
Against Reading Michael O’Neill’s side gave Championship leaders Reading their third consecutive defeat as Stoke capitalized on defensive errors at the Madejski Stadium. The Royals dominated possession but were 2-0 down at half-time following clinical finishes from Tyrese Campbell and Steven Fletcher and never got back in the match. Stoke wrapped the three points in the fifth minute of stoppage time for their first win in 16 league trips to Reading.
On the other side, Huddersfield have now had a few more weeks to accommodate to the new manager's ways and to respond after their disappointing start to the season. The club put their trust in Carlos Corberan, but it will take some time for the players to get familiar with what is asked of them. They had Juninho, Bacuna and Alex Pritchard missing their last match and the point against the Hatters was thoroughly deserved.
The Terriers had to come from behind after a well-taken volley had given Luton the first-half lead. Huddersfield went close several times but Luton hung on for a point after a fine header from Ajax loanee Carel Eiting got the terriers back in the match. Both teams will be rested for Saturday’s action, so we can expect an entertaining match.

The Potters will want to follow through on a 3-0 win over Reading most recently, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. James McClean has been tested positive for COVID-19, and consequently, won’t be available for the Huddersfield match. As for the Terriers, they head into the match following a 1-1 share of spoils with Luton.
Huddersfield sit in the middle of the table and are hoping for their fifth win of the campaign. However, Stoke impressed in the previous two home games - against Brentford (3-2) and Rotherham (1-0). In their last meeting in the English second tier, the Potters outplayed the Terriers 5-2, and the history might repeat itself here.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
