Silas Wamangituka and Andrej Kramaric go head-to-head when VfB Stuttgart welcome Hoffenheim to the Mercedes-Benz-Arena on Sunday. Read our reasons for Stuttgart vs Hoffenheim prediction and betting tips.
Silas has been one of the breakout stars of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season and is gunning for the league's Rookie Award for February. He and Borna Sosa have proven the perfect foils for Sasa Kalajdzic in the attack, with the Austria center-forward hitting his 12th goal of the campaign in the 1-1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend. Kalajdzic has scored in each of his last six Bundesliga outings, registering seven goals in that period. He is the club's leading scorer with 12 this season.
It was a superb result for coach Pellegrino Matarazzo against a Frankfurt side that has been rampant since the turn of the year. Captain Gonzalo Castro was an unused substitute in Germany's financial capital but is expected to return to the side against Hoffenheim - most likely alongside Tanguy Coulibaly. Otherwise, Stuttgart should be unchanged and Matarazzo will be pleased that injured trio Lilian Egloff, Nicolas Gonzalez, and Clinton Mola are all back in training, albeit still a little way from a return to action.
Stuttgart: Kobel - Mavropanos, Anton, Kempf - Silas, Endo, Mangala, Sosa - Castro (c), Coulibaly - Kalajdzic
Out: Gonzalez (hamstring), Mola (hip)
Doubtful: Egloff (ankle)
Coach: Pellegrino Matarazzo
Hoffenheim was superb in seeing Wolfsburg off on Matchday 24, ending the Wolves' nine-game unbeaten run and seven-match stretch without conceding. Christoph Baumgartner provided a superb opener in that victory before Kramaric once again produced the goods in front of goal to extend the Sinsheim outfit's unbeaten run to four matches (W2, D2). Kramaric is currently fifth in the Bundesliga scoring chart with 14 goals. He ended a three-game drought with a strike in the 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg last week.
That form has seen TSG begin to grease the wheels of their rise toward the top half of the table and another three points would move them to level with their hosts in ninth. Sebastian Hoeneß is also unlikely to make any drastic changes as they travel south on Sunday. Ryan Sessegnon continues to push for a first start since returning from injury on Matchday 22 and could replace Marco John on the left.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Adams, Grillitsch, Richards - Kaderabek, Rudy, Samassekou, John - Baumgartner - Bebou, Kramaric
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Nordtveit (foot), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Gacinovic (ankle), Pentke (muscular), Posch (not included), Vogt (groin)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
