SWANSEA VS LUTON MATCH ANALYSIS
Swansea have accumulated 26 points from their first 15 league fixtures which are enough for 7th place in the table. A defeat at Middlesbrough (2-1) in midweek was their third this season – they lost to Huddersfield at home (1-2) in the 5th round and at Norwich (1:0) before the international break – end have ended their little run without a loss (W2-D1). As for Luton, they opened this campaign surprisingly well, winning three of their four league matches. However, they recorded only three wins since (W6-D4-L5) and are sitting 10th in the table with 22 points, after a win against leaders Norwich (3-1) on Wednesday.
Swansea have done brilliantly under Steve Cooper’s in his first managerial job despite limited resources and a small squad. They are where they want to be – in the play-offs contention – after picking up seven points after the international break. After losing to Boro, Swansea are still only two points off the top of the Championship, which makes the defeat a little less painful. It means the Welsh team has lost only three matches since a defeat in the last season's play-offs, which is impressive in its own right. They still continue to look like a team capable of mounting another promotion push.
Swansea slipped out of the playoff places on goal difference in midweek following their defeat at the Riverside. They would have gone top of the table with a win, but Duncan Watmore's double gave Boro the victory. The hosts should be firing on all cylinders on Saturday, given their frustrating loss in midweek. Also, with attacking sensation Andre Ayew back to full fitness, the home side could end up taking home all three points.
Luton, on the other hand, managed to avoid relegation last season despite conceding 80 + goals, and if this time they can have more good days than bad ones, they shouldn't worry about survival. Of course, they were considered one of the most likely relegation candidates before the season started, but their performances are proving their doubters wrong. Luton continued their fine form as they edged out automatic promotion candidates Norwich at the Kenilworth Road.
Luton celebrated the return of some of their fans by consigning the Canaries to their first defeat in 11 Championship games. In front of a limited home following of 1,000 balloted supporters, Nathan Jones' Hatters won at Kenilworth Road for the first time in two months. It takes Jones' side within four points of the play-off places and having in mind that The Hatters had scored just three times in their previous five home games, they are well-positioned to make the surprising push for the play-offs.

This will be only the third time these two sides meet in the Championship.
Swansea’s defeat by Luton last season was their first loss in five games against the Hatters. That was at the Liberty Stadium, as they are this weekend, having not lost to Luton on home soil since 2002.
Despite being tough to beat lately, Luton are still wary of conceding first, having picked up just one point from six Championship matches in which they’ve done so (D1, L5). Each of Luton’s three Championship away games have come with a 1-0 scoreline, but more tellingly, the Hatters have only scored more than once in one of their last 23 away league games.
Having in mind that Swansea have lost just one of their last eight home league games (W5 D2), BettingKick’s prediction for Swansea vs Luton match is: Swansea win
