SWANSEA VS ROTHERHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
Swansea have picked up 19 points from their first 11 league fixtures which have been enough for the 6th place in the standings. They lost just twice this season - to Huddersfield at home (1-2) in the 5th round and at Norwich (1:0) in the last round – and have ended their little unbeaten run of five games (W2-D3). They face Rotherham next as they are looking to catch up with the top-four teams. As for Rotherham, after eleven weeks in the league, they are in 19th place in the table with 12 points (W3-D3-L5). Their win against Sheffield Wed (3-0) in the 8th round ended their barren run without a win in six consecutive games and having in mind that the Millers have picked up five points on the road this season they will hope to get something from their visit to Swansea on Saturday.
Steve Cooper has done brilliantly for Swansea in his first managerial job despite limited resources and a small squad. They are where they want to be – in the play-offs contention – despite their most recent defeat which ended their unbeaten run. Against the Millers they will look to get back to the winning ways which will be huge for Steve Cooper's side and their ambition to repeat the last season's promotion push. Unfortunately for the Swans, Andre Ajew, who has scored 9 goals so far this season in all competitions, has returned to Wales for treatment after being injured on Ghana duty.
However, even he could not help Swansea in their defeat to Norwich most recently, as Marco Stiepermann's winner late in the game saw Norwich edge out Swansea in a very entertaining match that only lacked more goals. Despite the defeat, the Swans are enjoying a rich vein of form, having lost only one of their previous 13 Championship fixtures and conceding just six goals this campaign. Having said that, they have good enough reasons to feel positive ahead of their clash with the Millers.
On the other hand, Rotherham accepts that the relegation battle is on their hands this season, but the manager Paul Warne knows how to get the most out of his group of players. Unlike other, richer clubs, Rotherham haven't had a big budget in comparison to other Championship sides in the first place, and the lack of expectation for this season may play into their hands. The Millers should be satisfied with their form at the start of the season, but the manner in which they were held to draws in some games leaves much more to be desired.
However, there were not any signs of those frailties against Preston most recently before the international break, as the Millers recorded their third win of the campaign (2-1). Matt Crooks' late winner gave Rotherham a victory to end Preston's unbeaten away record after a dramatic finale. Despite conceding late on, the Millers pressed on and deservedly got their comeback. Unfortunately, they cannot count on winger Kieran Sadlier, who joined Ogbene, Robertson, and MacDonald with a long-term injury.

Swansea will want to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Norwich, and we are positive that the Swans will go all guns blazing at the Millers on Matchday 12. A man to watch in the home team will be Andre Ayew, who scored a brace for Ghana in a 2-0 win over Sudan.
Rotherham United, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Preston but given they have registered only one win when away in the Championship so far, the Welsh outfit look like favourites in this match. It has to be noted that Rotherham winger Kieran Sadlier will be out for three months after suffering an ankle ligament injury in the victory over the Lilywhites.
