Switzerland meet Turkey at the Baku Olympic Stadium (Baku) in the EURO 2020 Group A Round 3 match and the game kicks off at 5 pm (UK) on Sunday, June 20. Read our reason for Switzerland vs Turkey prediction and betting tips.
ROSSOCROCIATI TO COME GOOD
Switzerland need to win here to stand a chance of going through as one of the best third place finishers. They would require a big win over Turkey and for Italy to beat Wales convincingly to take second. On the other hand, Turkey have been the major disappointment at this tournament. Many tipped them as dark horses but they stunk the place out against Italy and looked poor again in defeat to Wales on Wednesday. Even a win here is unlikely to be enough to qualify in third. This fixture is soaked in history so do not be surprised if tempers flare. The problem for Turkey is, more so than Switzerland, they just haven't looked close to challenging for three points at this tournament so far.
BELLOW-PAR SWISS MUST IMPROVE
The Swiss were completely rolled over by a rampant and hugely impressive Italy side and were thumped in a 3-0 Rome reversa. However, to be fair, the Swiss were unlucky not to beat Wales - they were probably the better team when drawing 1-1 with Wales in their opening game - and know a win and four points will surely be enough to send them through and the Swiss remain positive for their decisive match against Turkey to have the chance to make the last 16
Substitute Steven Zuber had their only shot on target against the impressive Azzurri, who unsettled the Swiss with high-pressing tactics. ’Rossocrociati’played against a strong team that caused them a lot of problems all across the pitch. The tempo of this match though should be much more suitable, allowing the likes of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka and Liverpool playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri to control proceedings.
TIP #1: Haris Seferovic has had a disappointing tournament so far, but he should get opportunities against a Turkey side who look wide open at the back. For him to score at any time appeals from the Switzerland vs Turkey odds.
LOOKS LIKE IT’S CURTAINS FOR TURKEY
Turkey have probably been the biggest let-downs in the competition. Viewed as dark horses by many people, the Turks have been atrocious and Wales deservedly beat them in Azerbaijan despite the fact the game was played in perfect humid conditions for them and being backed by 30,000 of their fans. They too were hammered by Italy and they have yet to even score in what has been a horrific campaign.
On Wednesday, Kaan Ayhan had a header cleared off the line while Danny Ward denied Merih Demiral from a corner but the Crescent Stars were all over the place at the back. Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts struck for the Dragons, who wasted numerous other chances, including a penalty miss by Gareth Bale. Turkey will again be cheered on by a large contingent of fanatical fans in what is almost like a home game for them and must adopt a positive approach.
TIP #2: For the Turks, Burak Yilmaz had an outstanding season for French champions Lille and has to be better than he's shown at the Euros so far. For him to score at any time is a stand-out shout from Swtzerland vs Turkey odds.

Switzerland and Turkey are trailing in Euro 2020 Group A and both teams need to go for a win in Baku to have any chance of advancing. On the evidence seen so far in this tournament, the Rossocrociati are in better form and have to be rated a percentage pick to prevail. It's extremely hard to make any kind of case for the Turks given how poorly they have performed. They seem to have folded under the pressure of their support and chasing the game against the Swiss could be their undoing.
Final BettingKick’s Switzerland vs Turkey prediction is: Switzerland to win.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
